  • Well, given it is a play money tournament it is hard to really find fault since noone really has anything at stake. However, if it was a real money tournament I would suggest the following

Preflop - fold. Even with a huge stack and low blinds what are you hoping to do with Q 8 off in early position other then if it flops something goofy like QQ8. Even if it is a Q or 8 high flop how happy are you. A Q82 flop sure but even flopping 2 pairs will often lead to potentially bad situations for you sucj as a QJ8 flop.

Flop - not sure why you think you should have bet, you have no hand, no draw, no position and a bazillion opponents and the pot is not very big. Not what one would call an idea betting situation. The call is pretty horrible if it is a real money tournament.

Turn - let's assume you are here anyways. You now do have a draw (though many of your outs could be dead or are already dead). You only have 2 pure outs. The bet is fine, calling an all in after another person called an all in is fairly marginal since he likely would have raised with something other then a draw, meaning your flush draw (aside from the 2 outs) is likely no good. Fold a better choice.

River - ok you got here by playing every street wrong and got fluke luck. The shove is perfectly fine though dont expect someone to call it with a king (and even an ace) in a real money tournament. I might just raise 4000 or so to better ensure a call in that regard.
  • Other than getting incredibly LUCKY, you did nothing right in this hand.

Not quite true... he had good odds to call the 2nd 100 pre-flop. Other than that, you're right.

  • Alright, I see your point...but
  • Good advice, thank you. Granted it was play, when its real cash I tend to toss hands like that.....
Was just popping it out there for constructive critisism (sp?) and Monteroy provided just that, I do appreciate it.

  • If you don't play with play money like you do with real cash, why ask for feedback? It won't be applicable to your cash game.

  • NH, sir. I hope to see you on the tables sometime.
  • If you only tend to fold Q8o in EP preflop in a cash game then you are a losing player.
  • Excellent summation Monteroy. Bang on at every point.
