Looking to buy a hold'em table

A friend of mine is looking to purchase a new/used 10 man poker table.
Must be good quality, not a walmart special.
Preferably without a racetrack or chip tray.
Around the GTA. $3-400ish.

Anyone?

  • I bought a folding 10 person table from a guy in Richmond hill...found him on Ebay....thing folds in half as well as has folding legs. I"m afraid I don't have the guys number anymore but I'll try to find it and get back to you. It's pretty good quality, no racetrack or chip trays..my only beef with it is that the drink holders aren't deep...so it's pretty easy to spill something...I took care of it in the mean time by scotch guarding the felt/material..but am looking into buying some deeper ones and putting them in myself. Table was only like 170 bucks...taxes in...his best bet is to check out Ebay...search "poker Table" then sort it by country. There's a couple of sellers in the GTA that will allow pickup.
  • You should send a private message to hotpokeraction, one of the members on here. He's in KW and builds tables...best ones I've ever seen. I forwarded this thread to him via email.
  • Hey Tekguy, I have a thought for ya... the drink holders on that table, are they the plastic drop in kind?
If so I have a somewhat easy fix for you, go to the Games store in any mall that sells pool tables and so on, and buy leather pockets, like the ones found on pool tables, then just remove the amount of excess to give you a 2" or 3" drop in for a drink, ( works real good if most are beer drinkers lol )

    Just a thought

IMO, leave out the cupholders. The glasses/bottles get in the way and somebody (usually me) will end up spilling something on your nice new table.

My table top is just a $50 Crappy Tire job, but I've got a few little end tables between the chairs for drinks/snacks. Maybe I'm a paraniod freak, but it makes for a better night if nobody makes a mess. Oh, and I ALWAYS cry over a spilt beer.

I built one at the beginning of the summer and it's great. I want to sell it to make room for my new one. I am selling it for $300.00 I would like to sent you a picture but, i'm new at posting online so if i can email it to you please let me know.
    Is is beer proof!
Burgandy padded super suade rail, red mohogany race track, black center pay surface and folding legs. Extreamly strudy and very nice to play on.

Hope to help your buddy out. Thanks

    Thanks Johnnie
  • Thanks for the help guys. My friend has taken care of it.
  • does anyone know where I could purchase a solid wood poker table (round) for around 6 players? I think some have a wooden cover as well so it could be used as a kitchen table, etc. when not in use. Anyone seen one of these lately?
  • Funny you should ask. I just moved and was in the midst of building a round one, solid oak pedestal, red speed cloth, solid oak racetrack and black vinyl railings.

I have about 1-2 hours left to finish and it doesn't fit anywhere in my new house. PM me if your interested. It's been sitting unfinished for about 2 months now.

It is all high quality wood, pedestals, etc so if you looking something cheap, this probably not the one.. Doesn't have the "wood" table top. I am srue people on here could vouch for my tables if necessary.

  • The two I've seen of Cory's are wicked.
  • thanks Josh..

One of the one's Josh is talking about is available.
  • Jim, did you get my email?
  • i saw the unfinished one (i think, or one similar to it) the last time i was a cory's place, very nice.
  • I'm looking for pretty much the same table as the OP (10 man, good quality, 300-400 range, with/without racetrack, no chip holder, no dealer section, new or used) in the GTA.

Does private messaging only work after you've been a member for a certain amount of time? I'd like to contact the people mentioned in this thread but I don't see the PM button. (Edit: Disregard my question about PM -- I just saw a posting mentioning that pm is disabled until the user posts 25 times..*sigh*)

Can you please email me if you sell tables or know someone who does in the GTA?

    Thanks,
    Stephen

I bought a race track table from these guys last year. Everyone that sees it thinks I paided a whole lot more. He builds them in his basment and are solid tables. BTW he lives in Windsor.

    I recommend the table.
  • Thanks Dead Money. That's exactly the type of table I'm looking for.. A little more than I wanted to spend but I would have considered it (he's selling it for 425 on ebay) if he was local so that I wouldn't have to drive 3 hours each way to pick it up. :) It's too bad he's not in the GTA.
