Who is Jeffrey Chan?
Just heard on the radio today, a 28-year old man was abducted a day ago in Toronto from an underground parking garage. Apparently he is a pro gambler who recently won 45k in a Vancouver tourney and may owe some people a lot of money. He wandered into a police station afterwards to report the crime.
Anyone know him?

A Richmond Hill man abducted Tuesday afternoon was in hospital last night after walking into a police station.
York Regional Police are probing whether the man is also a poker player who won almost $45,000 at a tournament last year.
Police had feared for the safety of Chee Kian (Jeff) Chan, 28, who was forced into a newer model Mercedes SUV in the parking garage of his condominium at 23 Oneida Cres., in the Yonge St. and High Tech Rd. area. A small amount of blood was found at the scene.
Chan walked into the Major Mackenzie Dr. W. police station, just west of Yonge St., at about 6:45 p.m. last night "suffering from injuries," police said.
Detectives could not immediately interview Chan, who was taken to hospital for examination.
A man named Chee Kian Chan took seventh place at the River Rock Casino Resort in Vancouver on Nov. 19, 2005, earning him $44,753.
Det. Sgt. Gerry Milne, lead investigator on the case, wouldn't confirm that the abduction victim is the poker player but said, "As part of our victim's background, we are looking at that possibility ...
"I don't know if that's the same individual, but it's possible," Milne said. "That would be of interest to us."
The high-profile poker tournament had a $2,500 buy-in with a prize pool of nearly $1.3 million.
Police said earlier yesterday that they didn't know much about Chan, except that he lived with his girlfriend in the complex. No ransom note was received.
"We haven't heard from anybody," said police spokeswoman Laurie Perks.
"We don't know what's behind it ... We don't know why he was abducted."
Chan was described as Malaysian with no known relatives in Canada.
Police received a 911 call at about 1:40 p.m. Tuesday reporting that a woman was abducted from the garage, but later learned the victim was Chan, who has shoulder-length hair.
