Go Popkorn! WPT Final Table
Just wanted to take a second to wish forum member Popkorn, all the best, as he embarks on the WPT final table this afternoon.
2nd in chips, with a very health stack. All the best John!!
Canada is *very* well represented at the final table, so no doubt, there will be a lot of happy hosers later today.

I see the KrazyKanuck is there too, and John Juanda is in pretty sad state to start the final table. He'll need to at LEAST double up once just to stay alive into the first couple of blinds.
Both are regular River Room players.
Cheers
6) Marc Karam - Ottawa - $169,027
5) John Juanda - Las Vegas - $217,320
4) Jim "Krazy Kanuck" Worth - Toronto - $289,760
3) John Lam - Toronto - $352,541
2) Jason Sagle - Sudbury - $676,107 + 12th place in WPT CPO
1) Soren Turketwitsch - Oshawa - $1,352,224 from a $90 satellite!
Honourable mention to new hostess Sabina Gadecki for being even more gorgeous than Shana Hiatt and Courtney Friel. :h: See my new avatar for a photo of Sabina, NOT of myself!

I've give the new hostess a solid "meh".

I can vouch that that pic is NOT Blondefish. I guess the vegas boys and girls didn't do so well against the home crowd boys. $90 to 1.3 million. The next Moneymaker. Congrats to Popkorn for his excellent finish.
I'm just stuck at work right now, and also very very sick with the flu. The tournament was pretty bad to my health. But I'll definately do a write up for you guys about the whole experience within the next week or so.

Shouldn't you be meeting with an agent right now?
Congrats, very nice job!
I would suggest to play in live satelites instead of online. I feel you play your best at live games than online games...especially satelites.
With me personally, I prefer live satellites over online satellites, maybe cause my online play is a lot weaker than my live game play.
Cutting through that field was insane, I actually thought I wasn't even going to make it through day 1, my table was one of the tougher starting tables, and we were playing with the same 7 players almost to the very end of that day. I mean I was down to less than 5000 chips halfway through the day. And I remember the grind on day 2 when I was short stacked for about 4-5 hours having only about 25% of the average stack, but when day 3 came (we were all in the money at that point), and we had to play down to the final tv table, I was able to stay close to one of the chip leaders till the end of that day. I have to give credit to the players that gave me a hard time throughout the tournament: Victor Ramdin, Kam Low (a high stakes online player), John Juanda, Steve Ambrose, and John Dagostino. They taught me so much that helped me make it so far.
Any chance of seeing a tournament report, or tips for playing against some of these players? What did they teach you?
