Custom Poker Chips

Two questions:

1) Do any of you use custom-made poker chips? If so, where did you buy
them and how much were they?

2) Sloth: any plans to offer custom chips in the future?

  • the trick with customized chips is this: the most common way to customize so far (for the consumer market anyway) is to do gold leafing/stamping....now, gold embossing is slowly going the way of the doe-doe bird because it's a painstaking and long process. I looked for 3rd party stampers, but the few i found were turning away new jobs because they wanted to get out of it so badly..new new method is laser printing directly onto the surface of the chip...and for that, pokersupplies.com refers customers to look into their local yellow pages to have a 3rd party service handle it after their chips are received.

Most commonly, folks want denominations on their chips, and there are new chips coming in the not so distant future. :)
