Turning Stone
Next week Turning Stone is hosting the 2nd Empire State Championship. I live in Oakville and am considering going down for the first 2 events ($100 limit and no-limit) on Monday and Tuesday. I am just wondering who has been down to Turning Stone to play in a tournament and what do you think of it. I figure it is about a 4 hr drive and I don't want to make the trip if it isn't worth it. If anyone could let me know about their Turning Stone experience I would appreciate it. Thanks.

I live in Burlington and made the trip down for the last series they had.
It is VERY worth it, amazing games and those tourneys are very well run.
I have other plans for that big final tourneys weekend down there but would be very interested in going earlier in the week for some lesser buyin games like you are thinking.
The poker room rate is very good there although at this point I would assume for the tourney time all the poker rate rooms have been booked up.
Let me know what you decide, I am interested in heading there too.
I know some guys from the area are gonna head down that weekend to play the big ones too, maybe we all meet up down there.

PS it was 4 hours from my door to the casino lot, that included a quick gas up and burger king breakfast, driving time is very reasonable.
