"A Pokerplayer is never better than his last hand" You have to believe in the future! Our goal will also be to sign up pokerplayers with a good past and our goal will always be to improve! We want to improve even if we win the WSOP!
Ps. with sarcasms you won't go far but good luck!
Hey man! I think it would help alot! I am waiting for the sponsorship! The bankroll is everything nowadays,LOL! Good Luck!
- It is completely unclear what a share means. Yes, you have multiple ways for people to buy shares but nowhere does it explains what a share actually is. How many shares do you sell? What percentage of winnings does each share represent? Simply showing a single marginal finish in a weekly Stars tournament is not a replacement to a clear, transparent system of how you plan on handling being staked.
- You completely avoid the possibility that you will not win money in a tournament, which even for a top level player is commonplace (and I assure you I do not place you in that category anyways :P). You may think it's better to avoid this topic but if you actually expect this "revolutionary" concept of yours, otherwise known as staking a player, to work then you should be very clear about all of the risks involved.
- Many of your links do not work.
- The pictures of both of you in the about us section will not encourage anyone to give you money.
- Drop the become a member for free angle for pitching this. Being a member does not provide any benefits, unless people like giving out a lot of their personal information (granted at no additional cost to them...).
- Seriously, just be simple and honest. You want to be able to play in bigger tournaments but want to deflect some of the risk/cost onto others. Just be up front about that and be reasonable in how it will work. Selling 10% of your earnings to a $215 tournament for $100 will get you nowhere fast (since it is worth basically $21.50).
People are not stupid, they will see through a money grab scheme fairly quickly, Hell, even stupid people eventually get that. If your goal is for this to grow this long term (ie: more tournaments , more qualified players to stake etc) then be honest, open and fair instead of coming accross as amateur with a lot of information missing.
Last point, learn to reply to comments in threads like these ( I assume you spammed many boards) in a much more professional manner. The way you responded above just screams small time hustler/ angle shooter to me.
You concept, while hardly new, can work on a larger scale if done properly. Assuming that is what you want then make the changes to achieve that goal.
First of all, thanks for your time to look at the site and your openminded thoughts at this project.I would like to give you some answers from your public mail! Please see below! Great if you want to keep in touch! The results will come (stubborn like a few)! If you like to help us, then we could consider to give you a share later on for free! I have made some changes and hopefully this make you feel better! This forum showed a thread called advertising and it looked fine to advertise our service. I prefer to ask the moderators before I paste links!
Here are some observations after clicking on your site:
- It is completely unclear what a share means. Yes, you have multiple ways for people to buy shares but nowhere does it explains what a share actually is
((A share is a % you get from a tournament with let's say 6 shares and the winnings will be divided in 6. If you have one share, then you get your cut when we have been paid our 20% from the total winnings(look at terms and conditions)).
How many shares do you sell?
((it says on each individual page if you first click in the menu, but 6 -10 shares/units each week in different tourneys))
What percentage of winnings does each share represent?
((if we get 10.000 in winnings=minus20%=2000 for us and the shareholders get the rest=8000 divided with 6, so if there are six shares from the beginning= 1333 each share))
Simply showing a single marginal finish in a weekly Stars tournament is not a replacement to a clear, transparent system of how you plan on handling being staked.
(( Well, the single marginal finish I think you mean is the 366th place out of "5400" in the milliondollars? This is only to show people that we are not unknown to the game and we/I have placed in one of those tournaments earlier on! I have now moved it to the blog))
((I am sure it's not possible to win BIG most of the times and this project is made to work in the long run with a calculated risk and nothing is for granted, I am definately aware of that, it can also be found in terms and conditions! I have played for a couple of years online and a few livetournaments and I know the game! The profit will hopefully come fast or in the long run to us and the shareholders! That's the idea!
I felt a service was missing to the public when this idea came up! The idea is to sell shares in tournaments and pokerplayers just like shops are selling shares, units in horsetrotting (very common in Sweden, not sure about your country). I have mentioned it's a risk with this venture and no winnings are for sure! I have added info at the frontpage! People in general think it should work just fine! This is a service and as you say, the buyers stake us in tournaments and they will get a % from the winnings without any problems!))
- Many of your links do not work.
((Nobody has complained yet, Well, not sure why they don't work for you= could you tell me what links? I will take a look at it!)) Please try again!
- The pictures of both of you in the about us section will not encourage anyone to give you money.
((I am not sure what you mean with this but it's photos of me and another pokerplayer! I think it would be worse without photos=very suspicious)) I am sure Jamie Gold's face would sell a lot better but he is not contracted, yet. Maybe I send him a mail!
- Drop the become a member for free angle for pitching this. Being a member does not provide any benefits, unless people like giving out a lot of their personal information (granted at no additional cost to them...).
((Become a member should be enough as you say and it might give the wrong impression!Changes has been made!We need the correct information to be able to send the winnings to the people who buy shares/units! Definately free))
((This is true, we want to play in the largest tournaments and it would be to costly for ourselves/others unless we/they make $$ in the early stages(bankroll is everything nowadays). The shareholders will provide the company with a bankroll and the winnings will be paid to those who get a share! We all want to get a Huge Winner in a Large tournament and we will keep the dream alive week after week! It's up to anyone to give it a go, we don't force anyone! We believe we have the skills to do the work and it is in our eyes a better chance for everybody in the long run to get paid from winnings if we keep a constant flow and register players to the largest tournaments online. Week after week!
It's better for everybody to get something from this than nothing because you can't afford the buy-in weeek after week! a "small" or constant cashflow of winnings, that's our goal! It's definately meant as a service for those who doesen't have the time to play for hours! Others don't think they can afford the buy in to a $215 weekly but it's still nice to have a piece IF it happens, right?))
((6 shares/units will be sold and each share get their fair cut out of 80% from total winnings)) It will also be a fee involved in the share/unit for handling, work and administration, taxes and so on))
People are not stupid, they will see through a money grab scheme fairly quickly, Hell, even stupid people eventually get that. If your goal is for this to grow this long term (ie: more tournaments , more qualified players to stake etc) then be honest, open and fair instead of coming accross as amateur with a lot of information missing.
(( I don't think people are stupid and I am not sure if you mean we shouldn't take a fee from the cost of each share? Money grab scheme? We have to survive even if we don't make it big in the largest tournaments. The goal is to grow this long term with more than a few "staked" (hired players) in the future and hopefully with many nice winnings to us and the shareholders))!
Last point, learn to reply to comments in threads like these ( I assume you spammed many boards) in a much more professional manner. The way you responded above just screams small time hustler/ angle shooter to me.
((I have met many bullies, that's probably why I opened up my heart,Lol!))
You concept, while hardly new, can work on a larger scale if done properly. Assuming that is what you want then make the changes to achieve that goal.
(( I know the message to the customers must be clear and most people I have asked think it's clear and understandable! I will take a closer look at your info and ideas and if we have missed important details. The marketing is the largest part and it will cost cash get the concept to the public! I can't afford a professional website like msn or any pokersite= only a simple concept and understandable text and buttons, links for payments and so on should do the deed for this purpose!)) I am interested in your ideas, so, please email me! Cheers!
Good Luck Monteroy! Thanks again!

Kind regards from Peter/"DIAMOND"
It just screamed desperate and conman like.
All I can say is I pity the person that lacks basic common sense that would actually join their site.
WOW
I would like to know why it's conman like? Do you know the people behind the site? Very serious to accuse someone unless you are 100% sure, or keep it shut! Wat is desperate with a service? Plenty of smartasses at this forum!
Its should be spelled It's and not Its. I hope you go back to school before you complain next time!
Can you post a pic of yourself holding a sign saying "CPF Roxors!" ? I think that would give you some credibility.
YOU GOTTA GO!
