Bookmarking the forum

My old bookmark allowed me to go directly into the "new posts since last visit". This was my preferred way to read the forum.

The new one however, after I click the "New Posts" the URL looks something like this:
http://pokerforum.ca/search.php?searchid=301

Where the search ID changes every time you click it. Is there a URL that can be used?

Thanks!

  • Man, I should really try things out before I post, I think I have figured it out

    http://pokerforum.ca/search.php?do=getnew

So please disregard the previous question and here you go everyone, edit your bookmark or favorite with the above URL.
  • I'm having trouble with the "new posts" feature too. I get results when I click on it...but the posts aren't new. The results include threads that I've already read with no new posts.

read that previous note, el. very fetching photo, btw...
  • I was actually referring to the "new posts" feature. When I first click it, I get new posts - but then I have to leave the site and come back for it to update. If I hit refresh it doesn't get rid of the threads I've read.

I'm going to fiddle with the settings a bit...I'm thinking there are probably some options I can change to get things how I like it.

I'm having the same issue, and I haven't found any settings which fix it. If you happen to get it working properly, please post how.
  • Just added my thoughts on this issue in the "well?" thread.

Just go to Quick Links and select Mark Forums Read.

The "New Posts" should really be "Unread Posts"
  • Still having trouble with the new posts feature. I come to the forum, click "new posts" and get the listing. I read through them, and then click "new posts" again to refresh the list (see if anything new is posted). It doesn't refresh. It says this:

    Showing results 1 to 16 of 16
Search took 0.12 seconds; generated 17 minute(s) ago

If I mark forums as read at this point, won't it mark any new posts in the past 17 minutes as read? Is there anyway to refresh the list without logging out and coming back?
