I wanna go check out the poormans tier 1 satellites, either for the CPO or the NAPC but i just wanna know aprox how long the wait times are for them. Can someone help me out? thx in advance.
I have only played the $160, but they fill up pretty fast. This past Sunday they were announcing new games every 30 minutes or so. The wait was not too much longer than 1 hour.
How many entries to the CPO are there so far? Do you think seats will still be available on October 20 and 21, which are supposed to the last days for the $330 satellite?
The total number of vouchers sold/awarded to date is not available. I did see voucher number 192 the other night, which could mean just about anything.

If I was you, I would not wait until the day before to try to win a voucher. If you really want to play, pony up the $2,700 and lock up your seat. Then you could play satellites to try and win that buy-in back.
I assume the reason you say not to go on the weekend is because its too busy? do you have any ideas as to what the wait time would be on sunday for the $160?
Is it true that if you pre-pay for a seat to either of the WPT events and win a Step 2 satellite later, that you can get a cash refund? A friend decided to pay $10,300 cash at Fallsview Casino for a seat after being told that he will be given the $10,300 back if he plays the satellites and wins.

Vouchers are non-redeemable (they have no cash value at Fallsview). The vouchers are transferrable as they have no name on them; once you get one, do what you want with it but you will get no cash from the casino for it.
Can 13CARDS or somebody else confirm that the $2,700 seats for the WPT CPO is no longer being sold? A friend who had won a satellite seat from a bar tour told me that the last seat sale was on Wednesday.
I also won one of the 17 WPT satellite/seats being given away by the bar tour, so I have a free shot at the $10,300 NAPC, but I also want to play at the CPO, even considering to buy a seat directly. Does anybody here with a CPO seat want to sell their seat?

THE FOLLOWING IS PUBLIC INFORMATION...
By calling the poker hotline at 1-866-5-POKER-5 and asking to purchase an entry to the WPT Canadian Open, I was informed that event is currently sold out, however, they were taking names/emails as an alternates list.
I was just told by an employee of Fallsview that there are 5 seats still available at both Players Advantage Club Booths (10 in total) as this message is being posted. Call the casino to confirm before you drive all that way.
I managed to get one of the last vouchers for the $2,700 tournament. As I was leaving, I passed by the Players Advantage Club office and they confirmed that there is not a single seat available for sale. The only way to get a seat now is to win one of the final set of $330 satellites today or Friday, or to buy somebody else's voucher. There will be no more $50 satellites after Sunday.
It is not "lame"...it is a matter of logistics. Imagaine you advertised a 3-table tourney at your home on this forum and then all 3000 memebers showed up? The decision to run two WPT events back-to-back was a very important one, but it comes with some physical limitations as to the numbers that can be accomodated. And it is far more important to get larger numbers for the NAPC.

When I got my ticket yesterday, there were 10 seats left as of 2PM
In the coming years, the option to allow more than 300 entrants will exist. Remember, we are committed to running the Canadian Open and the North American Poker Championship both, each year, through 2010.
Well, I got shut out of a voucher and I'm disappointed. I talked to the poker room 3 weeks ago and they definitely did not expect this turnout. They told me no problem "come down Sunday, arrive early and you 'll have a seat" and after going to WSOP this year and discovering some tourneys were capped there I specifically asked if there was a cap and was told there was no cap. It's my own fault of course, I should simply have registered early and avoided disappointment. Booked time off work for nothing...and only 300 players? I think they could have done better providing and communicating availability. Apparently, I hear for the WPT there is no cap at least as of today. I'm still looking to buy a voucher, if anyone has one lying around somewhere.

Thanks, pokerJAH. I played in the final $330 satellites being held today and I won! Since I now have two seats, I will have to go early tomorrow morning to the Avalon Ballroom to find a buyer for my extra seat.
Both events are World Poker Tour events, one is Canadian Open (brand new)and the other is the North American Poker Championship (formerly Doyle Brunson's North American Poker Championship held at the Belagio). I feel bad that this does not seem to have been communicated clearly, even some pros don't have it straight in their minds. See this http://www.fullcontactpoker.com/video_diary/

Anyone that is planning to play in the $2,700 Canadian Open event, the number of entries is capped at 300 players. Get your voucher now!!!!

Are you saying my voucher is worthless if there are no seats availible?
