Bankroll Tracking

I was being real good...tracking every cent from every buyin for every game...tracking the wins, the amounts, the games, the sites, everything...using pokertracking.com Now it appears, that online site is no more. Even having troubles getting to PokerDominator.com

So now I have nothing to help manage my bankroll. I could dink around and create something in excel, but hey, I'm lazy :D

I liked PokerTracking.com because it was easy, online, free, and I could access it from anywhere. Is there a similiar online tool?

Better yet, what do others use to manage bankrolls with? I would rather have something that could graph it and generate particular reports on demand when requested.

  • pokertracking.com still works for me. I was just on the site about 2mins ago
  • weird...must be on my end then...all i get is Aqueous blank screen. ???
  • Pokertracking works for me, too. I am still in the middle of entering all the results from cash games and tournaments that I can remember, but I like both the software and my results. :) My total earnings, win rate and ROI are all much higher than I expected. It paid for a couple of Step 2 satellites for the World Poker Tour.

  • Google have an online version of excel, okay you'll still have the work to do, but you can access anywhere. Gonna move mine on there soon when I can be bothered as well LOL
  • I found lately that pokertracking.com seems to be down alot. Just getting a blank screen.

    Anyone else found this?
  • How do Pokertracking.com users use its reports? Below are my statistics for $1/$2 NL live cash games so far this year.

    Return: $2,127.00
Average Win Rate: $39.83 / hour
    Average BB / Hour: 19.71
    ROI: 121.89%
    Win %: 63.64%

Should I play at higher limit tables now, or I shouldn't change anything?

You should buy a lottery ticket, that sounds like an unheard of rate of almost 20 BB per hour. Obviously you haven't hit a downswing or seen the negative side of variance. Thats only about 50 hours at the table. You can't substain it.
    Get ready!
  • What's a good ROI and hourly rate? I once had a good ROI and hourly rate until certain stats started getting skewed. For example, I have tournaments in there, SNG's, and ring games where I lost a buy in in the first hour and just left. That really skews that stats.

Get ready to ride the wave...... the poker gods will get even with you. Move up now before they hit cuz it's trouble when they do...... :)

how does that skew the results? it's money you lost at poker.
  • Here is a special bankroll calculator just for you AJ, it's guarenteed to always be correct based on your play..

    (# of buyins) * (amount of buyin) * 0 = Your bankroll.

Nice to see you're running really hot.

It's hard to make decisions on few hands...

With only 50 hours of play you can't really say... getting at most 30 or so hands an hour gives you about 1500 hands...

You're running way better than me.

I *don't* claim to be a winning player at 1/2NL ... If anyone has any suggestions I'm all ears...
    Last year I ran +4 BB/100 hands. (30,000 hands, standard deviation 17 bb/100) This year I'm losing .1BB/100 ( sample size 4000 hands)

Knowing when to move up can be pretty complex.

Figure out your hourly standard deviation and then if you can be 95% sure you're a winning player then I'd move up.

But by the time that you get enough stats to know this you may have already moved up.

I'd start taking shots at $2/5 or $5/5 (never more than 5% of your bankroll) and see how it goes.

Yea, been using that one, doesn't seem to work too well though. All lies I tell you.
  • PokerTracking.com has been unavailable for awhile yet again. Does anybody know if it is gone for good? The domain owner is a resident of Kitchener-Waterloo, who has let the registration expire.

Tracking my results is one of my 2007 Poker Resolutions that I have achieved, but I haven't been able to enter my cash game winnings for the past couple of weeks and I may now have lost ALL my entries. :'(

  • I personally gave up on the site shortly after starting this thread, just seem to be down more than it was working. I'm still tracking, but using my own spreadsheet. Not the best, but it's a record and I keep adding to it all the time.
  • Thanks for the feedback.
My win % has remained the same, so I have decided to follow ReefAquarium's advice and move up to $2/$5.
