For those keeping score at home...

That makes this game illegal. And you'd face charges should police decide to make a visit.

Joined October 2009, this is your first post??? no thanks Bugs...
LOL, tried to apply again as per below... Seems he thinks he's providing a "customer service" with no profit to himself... Sure he is..

Example of how to make friends.. Not sure when he thinks the law changed.... Like non of us have ever played in inderground games, I know some still do but we know the risk.. No FREE advertising here. non raked home games only allowed.

SNowflake admins
bugsy here.
RAKE is not ILLEGAL as long as the venue is a registered social club with the Ontario Government.Rake is allowed as long as the HOUSe is not mkaing a profit. since we have 5 snowflake admins who cant afford to play anything higher then .50 cent dollar games or 600 man tourneys with a 40 dollar prize pool.
Rake is allowed to pay for rent employees and services AKA YOUR FUCKING DEALERS. AND EVEN IF THE POLICE DID SHOW NO PLAYER CAN BE CHARGED. Ive been running card rooms in ontario before you even knew what balls was. AKA as todays version of hold em. Admins just mad they cant afford to play anythin g outside of low stajkes and have overall losing evs and rois.
Nice guy... let's have him at a home game sometime.

You first.... If I'm there, can we have a couple of big guys to protect me... Don't think he's a big fan of mine... :)

Pfft...

Snowflake / cuck / beta... Umm.. What other nonsense terms are the tough folks using these days?

Mark
Wonder if he knows "our" snowflake?
He also highlights "FREE FOOD BEER SNACKS SODAS ETC".... pretty sure ALGCO would endorse that
Lol love the rationalization going on here. "The house isn't taking rake because the rake is going to dealers/food."

Good luck explaining that to the cops when they bust you dude.
I'm almost tempted to let him back on for a while so he can attempt to justify.. Should I? Might be entertaining...

This is just a question, i am not looking to argue with anyone, just genuinely curious, what is the problem with someone making a profit holding games? Especially if they are providing you with free food and drinks and giving you a place to possibly make some money playing cards. Is it strictly the legality or is there some other reason?
I ask because i play at a raked game regularly and i dont see the issue. i also used to run a regular game with a rake, and im also sure we have all played at casinos where they all take a rake, so ya im just curious?
I don't have a problem with rake as long as the rake% and max rake are known by the players, and adhered to by the establishment.

I have occasionally played in raked home games, and raked underground games. If I don't like the terms of the game, I either don't go at all, or don't go back.

I once played a 1/2 underground game in Mississauga, where there was no straight answer about how much the rake was, and then I counted $25 being taken from a $150 pot. I left immediately after that hand.

I’m going to guess the issue wasn’t with the illegal game it’s self, but with the user advertising the game on this forum.
