It was a 20-seat satellite with 21 players left. I was closely observing the other tables and there were a bunch of very short stacks, including a couple that could not even cover the ante and were automatically all-in next hand. After watching the other tables fold while in hand-for-hand, it was easy to fold for the next hand and into the money.

The worst play would have been to get involved with the dominant chipleader and have >= 30% chance of being eliminated in 21st, instead of > 99% chance of folding to the win. As 13th/20 in chips, I got the same $200 prize as this chipleader.

It was obviously a direct reply to my buddy pkrfce9's light-hearted post about folding AA. He, pokerJAH and I always joke around with each other about folding AA preflop. I even put an emoticon on top of the post.

It was the right move, but I don't think it qualifies as a genius move. I know LOTS of players, including me, who make that same play EVERY time.

The great news for you is that university courses are FREE for senior citizens, including UofW. That's where my niece is studying.

LOL, one of the favourite online players of lynx5 and mine is this partypoker :fish: with a giraffe that just keeps going down, so I asked him to post that giraffe. I just checked Sharkscope and it looks like the fish can afford to lose -$70,000 and counting.

It is all about trying to maximize $EV for me when playing poker. But when not playing, I try to be like pokerJAH and maximize life EV.

Information about the other tables would have been helpful. Yes, I would fold AA in that scenario as there is no upside to more chips.
