If it was just me & a forumer, I would go with whatever that forumer wanted. I have no problem taking shuttles, monorails, buses or walking; or splitting with StinkyFingers for a car rental. I agree with moose that taking taxis everyday would be the worst option for me.
I didn't realize that my TD U$ VISA Card is like a gold card with a bunch of
travel benefits and Auto Rental Collision / Loss Damage. Since my family is going with me for the first time ever to Vegas, we'll rent a car, hoping to go to most (if not all) of the following:
1) Grand Canyon SkyWalk (196 km)
2) Valley of Fire (89 km)
3) Dam Hoover (48 km)
4) Red Rock Canyon (27 km)
5) Area 51 or other attraction?
