Accomplished. Played 219 hrs of live poker this year, a lot of it thanks to this forum and the the guys on here who offer up their basements, living rooms (and video shops) for our gambling pleasure. Thanks to all of you!
Bfillmaff;366037 wroteget playing online again on a regular basis. I have recently started focusing on 9max .10.25 ring games, and really trying to get back to basics.
I gave it an honest go, but quit playing online for the same two reasons that I quit last time:
1. I can't seem to beat it.
2. Wasn't enjoying it nearly as much as live poker, if at all. (could be tied to point #1)
Bfillmaff;366037 wroteIn terms of specific things I want to accomplish:
1. After 50K hands I want to see VPIP ranges of 30% in late position, 22% mid position, 14% in early position. This is a tough one for me, as I love to play me some garbage... but the loose preflop approach hasn't worked online for me in the past.
I only played 10K hands before deciding to focus on live, but checking back at the numbers the VPIP was still a bit high: 37% in late position, 30% in mid position, and 25% in early position.
Bfillmaff;366037 wrote 2. Get my WSD% up. Gotta stop the second guess hero calling when I have done the math and know I'm beat. Looking for 55%-60% after 50K hands.
43% and last Saturday I hero called moose with a pair of 2's and a 4 kicker. He enjoyed the double up.
Anyway, it's been so long since that online mission that I had pretty much forgotten about it, cool to look back at it but I don't miss online at all. Had a profitable year overall but the fact that I'm playing regularly again is the best part. Will have to think about some goals for 2015.
Happy New Year all!
