What time do the cops show up ? Hopefully before the thieves do. 40 players times $195 each is almost $8000 all in one place.

Advertising a raked game with the address is not smart.

On the original ad the cost of add-ons are $20 not $65. Also, with 15,000 stack re-buys are far a few in between. Please read carefully before you jump to conclusions.

This is a rake free game and we solely rely on the door OPTION to pay for expenses. This option is totally optional and consider a donation towards the club.

I don't mind paying reasonable rake myself, but please don't call your club games "rake-free". The judge won't be fooled by ANY fees that don't go back to the players' prize pool.

Anyway, what's the difference between this club and Toronto Aces Poker Club? I was planning to try out TAPC after the forum's questions are answered.

I was 50% owner of Toronto Aces. We run the same type of equity tourneys to send players to larger events. Our structures are the same. The only thing I can suggest is try playing at both places and you be the judge.

BTW. The door option is not mandatory. If you do not get this, you are playing completely rake free. However, most members will get it because it is a donation to help cover club cost.

A lot of the players' buy-in & add-ons seems to go to "The Monthly Special" of a $1,000 Fallsview entry. What happens to all the extra money after $1,000 is collected?

If possible, we'll give away 2 seats to the Fallsview Classic. The cost of the $1000 fallsview event is actually $1080. Fallsview has a courier/creditcard charge on top of the tournament entry.

Is this exactly the same at Toronto Aces Poker Club with all the Fallsview and WSOP-C $1,675 satellites, i.e., no extra rake on top of the "optional donation"?

Why not just get any Fallsview player to get the ticket(s) for you? I regularly go to Fallsview and can easily get the $5,000, $2,500 and $1,000 vouchers with no extra Fallsview "rake."

It actually does seem decent. If you don't take the option, it's essentially rake-free (other than the money that goes to the monthly prize pool) and you have a 12.5k starting stack as opposed to 15k.

Is the monthly prize pool a freeroll for the winners or can you buy in to it as well?

I would suggest removing the address to members only. I know Aces puts its address on kijiji posts and they have never been busted. But why advertise.

The winner in each sub-qualifier will receive an entry into the monthly special. A direct buy-in is $120-$160 depending on the cost of the event we're playing for. All buy-ins will go towards the monthly prize pool and paid out in tournament entries and cash.
