-Play in some Brantford tournaments. It's only a 30 minute drive.
-Deposit only once into my Pokerstars account in 2013.

I pretty much accomplished all my goals in 2012, as it was easily my best year of poker. Had my first 6 fig profit year (including packages), played/playing the live tournies that I wanted to the most (wsop me, pca, and wpt mtl when it was announced), and pretty much wanted to become a consistant player with confidence that I could ship a tourney at any time. Check.
For 2013 I'd be happy with the same, but I really want to ship a major tourney. And not only own turbos, want to get some regular speed wins too. Need some live scores too, haven't cashed a live tourney since Feb I think.
Muddguts
Do a complete 180 in regards to my online poker game. I have to start taking it more seriously if I want to be profitable. This includes controlling my emotions, narrowing my game selection down, choosing play time more carefully and using better bankroll management.
Currently I am in a vicious cycle of depositing $50-$75, double or triple it, then lose it all in a couple of days to a week, deposit again and play on tilt and in desperation, lose that desposit, then one more final deposit only to lose that in record time and finally use the self-exclude feature for 1-3 months for my own financial protection and sanity.
Rinse and repeat.
Live poker. Unfortunately there just seem to be much going on around the Burlington/Oakville/Hamilton/Mississauga area. Therefore I have make a 50-90 km drive for a game. Even then, I am a shift worker and a family man and those cut into my live play opportunities and that brings us to the top of my posting...

I would really like to play more live. That could be Mohawk/Johnnie's/Bristol/Moose's/Buzzards.
Somewhere, but, more often than I did in 2012.
I will find a way to play a Deepstack at Brantford or something at Brantford.
I'm looking forward to more Bap'ing and continuing to kill time/boredom playing my 9 man sng's on Stars.
Looking forward to another year on PFC and of course, another couple of Royals in 2013.

I'd like to get out to the casino a bit more, and not just BCC.

Play more LIVE tournies.
2012 I played the Fallsview 1k and although I went considerably deeper than I thought I should have, wasn't enough to get to the $$. Had a great time though with all my poker buds, railing and playing table games. Also played GBH tourney once and got as far as 27th I believe. Two horrible beats prevented me from going any deeper, but I played well and enjoyed it. Want to play Brantford games a couple of times this year.
Play more ONLINE MTT's
I've neglected playing online for some reason. Played a lot of micro level cash, but very few MTT's. The ones I did play I min cashed in a few, but nothing really deep or profitable. I know volume is the key to these games, but I simply don't get that much time to play that much volume. Maybe some Sunday games though, we'll see.
Play more underground cash
Got on a bad rush playing 2/5 early in the year, and couldn't really turn it around playing the undergrounds. And I'm still abit leary about playing them for the most part, but I did get out a couple of times. Didn't appear that my bad run in these games was over yet so I'm still avoiding for the most part, but hope to turn this around. This is on the BOTTOM of my list though.

I'm noticing a theme here.
Play more. Live and online.
Not much live around here to be found, but I know there's some. Last year, it seemed I just didn't have time when the games were running. Or, the games were a little too shady for me to be interested.
Last year, my interest in online dropped a lot for some reason. Just played forum games. Wife appears to have rejuvenated her interest in online however and this is inspiring me as well.

Now that it's the second half of 2013, it's a good time to track progress of poker goals posted, or set new ones for the remainder of the year, which is the case for me. Here are my goals while I continue to play live.
1) Continue cashing in the excellent tournaments at Casino Rama, Brantford and OLG Slots.
2) Increase my win rate in 2/5 &/or 5/5 cash games.
3) Find other strategy-oriented players that play similar games and learn from each other how to keep increasing our win rates. In case there is a lurker who has also been winning in the above games, please PM me.
4) Finish reading my poker books for a change, especially the ones I got from the authors directly.
5) If PartyPoker (former #2 down to #5) continues to be not worth using my online bankroll there to play, then become pot-committed to playing live: buy a cellphone, progressive lens eyeglasses, snow tires, etc.
6) I'll be baaack grinding the high-rake crapshoot satellites :p for Fallsview Poker Classic. Try to win a satellite to WPT/WSOP Montreal, WSOP BC, or Blue Water Classic.
7) Participate in a cash game study group, possibly including Skype.

pokerJAH;343766 wrote1. Continue to improve new poker website. Ensure tournament database is up-to-date with current and accurate tournament details.
Unfortunately, a lot of personal matters have gotten in the way of keeping my first site up to date with all the current tournaments. Didn't get the traffic I was expecting so I may need to re-think my strategy for this site. Did start openfacechinesepoker.ca which is getting a lot more traffic and likely has a lot more potential if this game continues to grow on the tournament circuit and some of the major poker sites eventually offer it online.
pokerJAH;343766 wrote2. Run three successful online satellites to major Ontario casino based poker tournaments. Work with affiliates to offer best tournament structures and options for players.
Failed on this front; did offer online satellites to Great Blue Heron and a Brantford tournament but couldn't get the required number of players. Winner Poker seemed to be the best option for running custom online satellites, and offered great signup packages for new players, but had a lot of issues with Canadian credit cards which made it difficult for players to get funds on the site. May give it another shot in the fall.
pokerJAH;343766 wrote3. Achieve $10k+ profit from live cash games. Increase play at 5/5 and 5/10 levels. Also, do a better job tracking progress.
I was on track with this goal at the end of April with a $7k profit YTD. Now down to about $4k profit YTD and running at a winrate of approx. $15/hr. I have been playing more 5/5 and 5/10 (mainly on vacations in 2013, Bahamas, Vegas, Florida). Still this goal is achievable for 2013.
pokerJAH;343766 wrote4. Achieve one major live tournament and one major online tournament cash in 2013 (>$5k).
Haven't really played any major tournaments in 2013 so far. Still some time to achieve this goal given the low rake electronic tournaments now being offered in Ontario!

What kind of winrate do you think is reasonable?

Online I was used to having sessions automatically recorded, so it's been a pain trying to remember to manually record after every live session. For now, I'm just happy being a net withdrawer at Fallsview & Woodbine instead of a net depositor!
