Minister of Health on the radio today, musing about the possibility of accelerating the phase-in times for retrofitting Seniors residences with sprinklers in light of the tragedy in Quebec. The part that pisses me off is that privately run facilities need to be upgraded by 2018, while PROVINCIALLY RUN BUILDING HAVE UNTIL 2025.

What makes seniors in those facilities less deserving of protection?

the school board no calling a fucking snow day!!!!!!!! i still have to fight through the snow to come and sit in an empty classroom all friggin' day. no teacher is going to be doing a lesson with half the class missing, so we're all just sitting around wasting time and risking our health. just a complete joke. if i fucking get stuck going home today i will fucking freak out.

fucking winter! i am done!

went out this morning to put out the trash for pickup. took about two steps out of the garage and then majorly whipped out. i mean, it was like in the movies or cartoons where my feet were literally thrown out from under me and i was parallel to the ground before landing square on my back. obviously, i had the wind knocked out of me as well and i lied there gasping for breath and still half falling on the ice as i tried to get up. gf found it hilarious at least. man my back is killing now...

It's fucking horrible right now. I have a moral and literal obligation to walk two high drive dogs 3 times a day. I'm considering getting some form of stainless steel sprig type climbing snow boots or something.

I've let out quite a bit of hate in this thread and figure I deserve a little bonus in some small regard in terms of venting. I didn't spout actual hate, but I can at least empathize. Hatefully.

I'm sure I'll seriously hate on someone later this week. Time covers all bases.

ffs i'm just losing it lately. two weeks ago, i broke my toe falling up the stairs (yes you read that right). one week ago i hurt my back shoveling snow (it wasn't even a lot of snow, i just twisted it weird). yesterday, i hurt my back again when i fell on it. and today i woke up sick with most likely a flu that i caught from work that's going around. #fallingapart

so i guess this is an "i hate life" post.
