Basically do the card swipe to get on the list and then when a spot opens your name appears at that spot when it flashes at the table (so no one else can log in and take it). You have 3 mins to get to your spot or your name is rolled to the bottom. The staff should be there only to take questions about how to use the tables and answer general questions. There is no reason why that entire room can't be automated.
Also as soon as 10 names appear on the list an empty table loads up and the names are moved to that table. In the case of new tables, the names all appear on the screen so you can choose your seat until all the seats are gone. Same set up, 3 mins to sit or the other names start flashing etc.
Played last night and noticed when the names appear at the table, each individual player's name get a full 15 minutes to get to their seats before being "booted" off the table. 15 minutes is way too long!!!
Been playing at Woodbine's poker room for a full two months now and I've gotten used to some of the lingo found in this particular poker room. I'm not saying the lingo is 100% unique to this very poker room, but you seem to always hear people mention a
"set-up" hand when you get beaten by set over set or quads over quads. I assume the word
"set-up" is used a lot here simply because it is an electronic poker room and not a regular card room.
Another term people use more at Woodbine's poker room is
"sour". The word gets tossed around here a lot when people are rivered or get counterfeited here. You don't seem to hear the word
"sour" used nearly as often at Casino Niagara/Fallsview or Casino Rama's poker rooms. LOL
