Most tables are getting 50-60 hands per hour at Woodbine. Screen allows you to see the number of hands per hour and average pot size, etc. Lots of stats available.

My hourly rate took a hit after Friday's session. Was up to $190/hourly at Woodbine this year but ended down $300 on Friday. Still likely in the $180 range YTD so definitely the most profitable B&M for me in 2013. Also, very easy to get on a table if you play 2/5 or 5/5. Even on weekends, usually only have to wait 30 minutes tops.

Saves you a good 2-3 hour drive plus a lot less wait time. I think a lot of the undergrounds are hurting with the introduction of these electronic tables. I was sitting at 2/5 game on Friday and four of the other players I recognize from a local club I use to play at.

I was worried that I had made a blunder by leaving my balance in my Winners Circle card last time at Woodbine with the possible strike tonight instead of withdrawing it all.
But a tentative agreement has just been reached.

I have emailed OLG and filled out the green "You Bet We Want To Hear From You" form to request tournaments at Woodbine ASAP, just like ALL the other electronic locations. Please do the same; Woodbine's phone # is 416-675-1101. The Deep Stack $220+$10 electronic tournaments are probably the best-value live tournaments I've ever seen! :cool2:

I think Poker Rewards can now be used at the table for betting, rabbit hunting, etc. Can anyone confirm this:

How it Works:
Electronic Poker Rewards are calculated based on the amount of time
played. Players will receive $0.50 in promotional rewards for every
1 hour of play at the electronic poker tables. Players will be able to
redeem once they have reached $5.00 in promotional rewards.
Rewards are kept in a separate player promotional account to track all
promotional rewards independently from the PokerPro player account.
Use your rewards in $5.00 increments to place bets or pay player fees.
Electronic Poker Rewards bet at a PokerPro table must be called to
be converted to cash. If a player bets promotional money that is not
called, that money is returned to the player as promotional money
(rewards). Called promotional money is converted to cash when the pot
is consolidated.
Rewards used to pay player fees (collections, rakes, rabbit hunting fees)
are immediately converted to cash when it is deposited

I've only thought you could use it for buying the garbage food there?

Next time anybody plays an electronic tournament, please check your Electronic Poker Rewards before and after the tournament. Last time I played, nothing shows up on my PokerTek screen, but maybe you can check through a cashier or Winners Circle area.

For anybody that happens to be playing poker on Canada Day, the OLG Slots locations are giving away a free Canada T-shirt starting around 9:30 AM. I played the Deep Stack tournament at Western Fair on Sunday, and received a free Canada hat and outdoor BBQ meal with delicious ribs, chicken, beans, salad, bread and drinks. :cool2: They will have it again on Canada Day.

Georgian Downs & Woodbine are where I have played the most since I started playing live again, so here are my comparisons.

Woodbine:
- Closer to full capacity than horribly-run Fallsview now, including a couple of 5/5 tables.
- 50¢/hr poker reward seems to go missing. One of the players there knew he played more than 30 hours and tried to redeem for a $15 voucher, but he was eventually told that his account showed NEGATIVE rewards! Now that you can finally see your rewards on the PokerTek screen, my previous hours have disappeared.
- No self-serve drinks unlike Brantford, Western Fair, Georgian, etc.
- No pagers unlike Georgian, Mohawk, etc. For example, I brought the pager to the free outdoor BBQ at Western Fair, & the pager still worked far away where I had parked my car.
- Only OLG poker room without tournaments.

Georgian Downs:
- Has excellent tournaments, including a Deep Stack this Sunday with only 4% rake.
- In addition to a self-serve drink area in the slots area, the poker room has its own drink fridge, coffee, etc. Drink orders are radioed directly instead of having to wait over an hour like at Fallsview & sometimes Woodbine.
- Has the most promotions of any poker room in Ontario, including the Tournament of Champions and Poker Player VIP Appreciation Night.
- Its current promotion is "Spin to Win" which is similar to what forumers like me had won at Excalibur in Las Vegas. "Cracked Aces. Bad Beat. High Hand. Any of these hands will earn you a Spin to Win when you're playing Electronic Poker. Click here to learn more about Spin to Win."

Anybody else going to Georgian Downs this Sunday for the 4:30 PM Deep Stack, then Spin to Win?

Unfortunately, contrary to the MTT rumours I've heard at Woodbine, they still have no plans for MTTs. :( They will start with only a one-table SNG.

The SNG structures used by the other OLG poker rooms such as Brantford, Mohawk and Western Fair were almost never played so hopefully, Woodbine will learn from their mistakes and make improvements. Just like online, an SNG should have a 50%/30%/20% payout structure, not a 50%/50% two-payout collusion fest. I think Georgian Downs was just about the only casino in Ontario that was able to run $75+$5 SNGs (6.3% rake).

I played poker at Woodbine yesterday and the supervisor gave me a sit & go flyer. They will start having daily sit&go tournaments starting on September 9th, 2013. Tournaments start from 8am to noon.

Prize structure as follows:

1st. prize - 70%

2nd.prize - 30%

$560

Time per level varies from 15 minutes to 20 minutes. The more expensive S&G`s are for 20 minutes.

As I posted in Woodbine SNGs start on September 9, please ask Woodbine to extend the hours past noon. It is against the religion of poker players to play before noon!

Woodbine never has all 11 tables running except for some Saturday and Friday nights. At all other times, they should have SNGs or MTTs available in the EMPTY AUTOMATED tables, which will then feed into the cash game tables as each tournament table breaks. You can all mention in your feedback form that this is the revenue-maximizing model that Casino Rama uses for its tournament; almost all the poker tables are being utilized from the time the six-table tournament starts (+ ~5 cash games tables) until the final table when the rest of the ~12 tables are used for cash games.
