Dylan..here is a suggestion as well to protect canadian players. Start speaking to the different levels of government and try to be as transparent as possible. Last thing we need is the same thing happening in the USA, happening here.
Now I don't think it would happen but it would be nice to see Pokerstars start a "regulatory" team to promote a positive image with online poker with the Canadian government. Be pro-active in this and you will likely get a more favorable response when it comes to NAPTs WPTs etc in Canadian Casinos.
I think paying a little higher rake to have some quality sponsored tournaments and protected online environment (similar to pokerstars.fr) will help ease the scrutiny that Online Poker currently faces in Canada.
On another note I would like to be part of the doomswitch department. I think I would get a kick out of pushing the doomswitch when people are deep in tournaments :)
