Anyone have a clue why southern ontario is so blue. Not saying its good or bad just curious why it's so concentrated in Southern Ontario, It seems like it's all the large city centers are red Toronto, Kitchener/Waterloo, London, Sarnia/Clearwater, Niagara

In my riding (Kitchener-Conestoga) Liberals won by only 371 votes. Iwas also surprised to see Mike Morris lose out (423 votes) shows the importance of going out to vote people! your voice does mater and can make a change if you let it.

@moose is there a reason why farmers tend to lean towards conservative? Like is there a very specific policy they tend to always win over famers with? For example teachers normally lean liberal because the Liberals believe funding teachers is good, where as Conservatives want to cut back on education. This is just a general statement not meaning pick a fight about that point (my partner is a "teacher") but I mean that's a really good reason why somebody would lean completely towards a party even if they don't agree with everything else. Is there a specific policy that Farmers always seem to lean towards conservative? My dad's a cash crop farmer and I asked him and he had no clue

MrCaspan rural voters across the country (and USA etc) tend to vote conservative. Why? Well, they are more about independence, lower taxes, hands off my stuff, let me keep my rifles etc. People with higher education living in urban centres tend to vote for more progressive parties.

Now in suburban areas like the 905 it is a fight over many issues including race, education, income etc
