Our 65.00 10,000 Chip Freeze Out

Here's how it is going to work. There is no re-buys and no add-ons.

• Each pre-registered player will pay 65.00.
• Walk-ins will pay 75.00
• Each player will receive 10 000 chips
• Blinds will go up every 20 minutes The goal is to end the tournament between 9:30 and 10:30 pm, although we will have the hall till midnight.
• We will be looking to payout the top 10% players.

The date will be Saturday November 18, 2006. The doors open up at 11:00 am. Shuffle up and deal will be at 12:00 pm. We have room for 120 people. This tournament will be held in a hall between Kitchener and Guelph.

As always there will be a 2/4 NL ring game available with a min buy in of 60.00 and a max buy in of 300.00

We would like to thank all those who came out to our event yesterday. It was a great day for all who came out, I guess except for maybe one person who remains to stay hidden in their obscurities of there poker forum name. Nor did they introduce themselves to ask any questions about the format.

Before I get into the results, let me give a little history on West Side Poker Club. West Side Poker Club started with a simple home game. The idea was to find a facility to host the largest “home games” in the province. Many of the players who come to are games would never go into one of the under ground clubs in the province, not because they aren’t good enough to play in that game but a variety of other reasons. For two years we have been running games for “these players” who play with the “home game” with mentality on a large scale.

To win a West Side Poker event is something special. In 2 years we have had only one person win twice. We have had as many as 140 people at one event. We have tried various blind structures to give our players the experience of playing in the big times. We average 70 people per tournament for over a two year period. I guess as long as we have interest we will continue to run out tournaments. With our next one being December 9th.

We had 70 people yesterday out of the 75 who signed up.

The final table began as follows:

Seat two – Blondefish, 111,000 in chips, 2nd place 1200.00
Seat Three – Coach, 48,000 in chips, 6th place 150.00
Seat Four – Ken B, 64,500 in chips, 1st place 1200.00
Seat Five – Kristy Sea, 27,000 in chips, 7th place 50.00 gift certificate
Seat Six – Joe B, 12,000, 8th place
Seat Seven – Jeff T, 108,000, 5th place 300.00
Seat Eight – Janet M, 139,000, 3rd place 600.00
Seat Nine – Romer, 72, 500, 4th place 400.00

Ken and Blondfished chopped first and second.
