Would you have called on the flop

This may be a bit of hindsight being 20/20 and i don't even know if i would have won this hand. my question though is based on pot odds or other factors would i have been justified in calling the $2 bet here to see the turn card. thanks for the input.

the dialogue in the hand relates to the hand before when i hit a straight against this other player, who had two pair

  • Nope, you are playing limit, so it aint worth it, as their is not enough pot odds.

IN NL on the other hand, you have a TONNE of implied odds (not as much since you are shorthanded though), but good fold on the flop, just trying to hit the set (11% chance on flop, and you only have a 9% chance on turn and river).
  • 2$ to call on the flop to see the turn on a 12$ pot 6:1 odds
    45:2 to hit a set 22.5:1 odds

Not a profitable call in my book..
  • Nope the odds weren't there...to have the right odds you would have needed an open ened straight draw as well (say a flop of 3 4 6), that would have given you 10 outs and the correct pot odds, good laydown (although I know it never feels that way when a set hits on the next card like that)
