Pre-Action Buttons

While recently visiting the local book store (chapters), I decided it was time for a new poker book. Seeing as I dont own any Internet books I thought why not. So, I purchased " KILLER POKER ONLINE - CRUSHING THE INTERNET GAME" by John Vorhaus.
The book itself doesnt seem that great, not near the information and density packed into a Sklansky book, however, he makes a point of NEVER USING THE PRE-ACTION BUTTONS.

I was curios to know what every one thought of this idea?

  • I'd guess it would depend on the stakes. If you were playing like a 5 or 10 buy-in SNG use them because for the most part, you know what your going to do and then you dont hold up the game. But if you were playing a 100 or 200 buy-in SNG or like 30/60 then I would probably refrain from using the buttons because you could have players start reading you. Keep in mind this opinion is from someone who has never ventured anywhere close to anything remotely considered high stakes.
