What was your favorite 80's movie? Mine is Wierd science. I dreamed of making Kelly Le Brock ( i think that is the correct spelling) from my Vic 20.

  • Uncle Buck! John Candy was always one of my favorite actors, so really, anything he did. Spaceballs,
    Cool Runnings (I know, 1993).

Here's a great Uncle Buck quote:

Maisy's Teacher: Does anybody have a special story to tell the class about something that happened this week?
    [Maisy raises her hand]
    Maisy's Teacher: Maisy?
Maisy Russell: My Uncle was micro waving our socks and the dog threw up on the couch for an hour.
    Maisy's Teacher: Honest?
    Maisy Russell: Mm-Hmm.
Maisy's Teacher: Why was your Uncle micro waving your socks?
Maisy Russell: He can't get the goddamn washing machine to work.
    Maisy's Teacher: BLASPHEIMER!

    the answer is clear...

any John Hughes film. That man owned the 80's.

    Breakfast Club
    Sixteen Candles
    Uncle Buck
    Planes, Trains and Automobiles

If I had to choose, it would either be planes, trains and autos or REMO WILLIAMS

But Uncle Buck is pretty damn funny, too.

Buck (showing his knife): It's so sharp I can circumcise a knat.
    Bug: <gulps>
Buck: Hey Bug - Knat? Hmmmm.
