Casino Niagara and Fallsview quiestion??

Hi, I'm going to be in the Niagara Falls area for a couple of weeks next month.

Do they have Holdem at the casinos.  And what type of games do they have.  Are there any No Limit tourneys??
and what are the buy-ins/limits for them.

Thanks for the help

  • I checked out the websites for the casinos in Niagara, I am going on Friday. Fallsview has a Poker Room, but Casino Niagara doesn't make any mention of it. Are there Poker Rooms at both?
  • There are now poker rooms at both casinos.

Casino Fallsview has higher limit tables - usually now starting at 4/8 and on weekends I've seen it as high as 75/150. The NL tables are usually 5/5 ($100-$500 buy in) and 5/10 ($200-$1000 buy in) but the 10/20 ($500-$2500 buy in <I believe>) has been known to appear.

Casino Niagara has the lower limit tables - 2/4 up to 6/12. The they also have 1/2 NL ($40-$100 buy in) and when demand permits they lately have been speading a 2/5 NL ($100-$300 buy in). The session fee at the 1/2NL and 2/5NL is $5/30mins., at the 5/5 at the Fallsview it is $6/30 mins. So for those looking for some NL action, I suggest the 5/5 at the Fallsview.

Casino Niagara is now busier I find that Fallsview for poker action now. You may have to wait quite some time if you get there late afternoon but they give you pagers so you can roam the aisles of random number genreators if you so desire.

I perfer the ambience of Niagara but the limits of Fallsview. Ahhh, poker.
  • Thanks guys.

so are there any tourneys there or just cash tables???
  • Right now, just ring (cash) games. There has been talk for some time about tournies but nothing has materialized yet (other than the Degree Poker Championship).
  • hey are u a regular there man?
  • The low limit tables at Casino Niagara are brutal, averaging 7 players to every flop.

    Fallsview has good action.
  • I play the 2/4 at Niagara farly regularily. There are not typically 7 players per flop, more like 5 avg per unraised flop, That should be perfect for a good tight player.... If ya can't beat poor players ya sure can't beat the good ones... lol..
  • Out of Curiosity, what is the rake like in a 2-4 game. Is it the standard 10% up to five bucks business?

    Cheers
    Court
  • Yep, it's 10% up to $5.
