Yes, the same A5 that once launched me to the final table of the Stars $215 ended up screwing me tonight.  And... his wasn't even sooooooooooooooooooted!!!!!!!  ;)

BTW at the 500/1000 level I had a total of 1000 with about 45 or so players left.  I'll try to post a few of the more interesting hands, for those who are interested.

Comments

  • Congrats on the nice prize. Im still trying for a big score, but I find I build up huge stacks, and misplay or get over agressive, whcih leads to me losing chips :(
  • You may be p_ssed... but you must be proud that you played that well.
Like having your daughter pose for playboy for $1,000,000.00
  • You ever think of posting the complete history? Would be nice for newbies like myself to see how a pro handles certain situations. And there is an "online" replayer of party poker files that will replay the tourney for you. (I guess sort of like pokertrackers replayer, but playable with Internet explorer). Thats if you dont mind giving out some of your secrets, if you have any. :-)

Example of one is http://grazzt.we1.biz/replay/index.html?daman519.txt (my 9+1 satellite try on Party, finished 5th, 4 got a seat, still made $50 out of it), doesnt work in firefox. I dont mind posting mine, as thats from december, and I dont have any secrets anyways, I just plain suck. :)

    And congrats. :)
  • I like that player, AA you should look into posting this.
  • Gratz All_Aces..

How did you get the site to store your hand history, so that it is accessible to people through a link like that?  (Pretty cool, BTW.)  I looked around a bit, and only saw his own histories, and those of 'invited' players.  Is there a place on the site for regular folks like us to store our histories, like you did?

Thanks for the link, it'll be interesting to check out what I did right/wrong last night.
  • Pretty sure for party mtt's to be replayed, you have to email them and ask for the tourney summary (include the tourney # in it), and they will email you a compatible format.

Then it gets somewhat complicated on how to set it up on a webserver. Easiest way is probably make a dir called replayer, d/l the replayer from teamfu, unzip it into your replayer dir. Then make a replays dir (under your root dir, not replayer), and upload your .txt mtt history into there. (also the file attributes have to be so that at least the files are readable by the web server)

Then you can call it as http://youwebaddress/~userifneeded/replayer/index.html?filenameofreplay.txt

    Too technical?

I might explain it better and more thorough if you do plan on publishing your replay. Would be nice to see. :-)

Edit; to play it locally, its even easier

D/l the replayer from teamfu somewhere onto your hd, load up the index.html in IE, then just paste your history from party into the box and away you go!

2nd edit: I dont know of any place that accepts history files, except for teamfu, and they dont seem to update much? That one i posted is just personal website I use to store crap. Might be a good idea for the mods here to make a php script or something so people can upload histories.

  • one word...R-E-S-P-EC-T. congrats, i could really go for $6600 right about now.
  • TYVM Brent.  It was a good night--I clearly remember thinking more than a few times during the tournament that I felt very relaxed, moreso than normal, even when I was severely shortstacked.  I went into the final table tied for first with 64K, but with the blinds at 2K/4K to start, the chip lead changed hands everytime someone won a pot, no matter how 'small'.  Again, I'll try and find a couple of interesting hands, and thanks again for your kind words.
  • Way to go man!

In adition to the $6K+ you also win the forum award for "Most elaborate bad beat posting". It shows real dedication to bad beat stories to put in all that effort. Very precisely done to, going all the way to the Top 2 and getting all-in with way the best of it like that.

    Ouch!

Just joking around of course. GG and congrats!

  • Here are some hands for those who are interested; any comments appreciated.  BTW Scotty I just saw your reply.  I figured you'd appreciate the lengths I went to in order to post that bad beat. ;)

    wow

    Final table

That last hand got me to the final table, where I did a lot of late-position raising to take the blinds with borderline hands like KT, etc...

My stack was getting low with 6 left, and the chip leader was to my left, so I didn't want to move on his blind with trash unless I got to see a flop:

    Aces_All wins 58204 chips

More raising preflop with QT, A5, AT, etc... and taking the blinds.  I got AT in back to back hands, raised the first one and took the blinds, folded the second one to someone else's all-in raise, which was called before it got to me.  A no-brainer fold.

More raising preflop with A5, 77, JQ, etc... and not getting called, until this hand:

This hand was the last one three-handed.  I flopped trips and bet out anyways, because that's what I'd usually do.  My opponent's play leads me to believe that he called the flop bet to try and steal it from me on the turn.  Unfortunately for him, by that time, I had quads.

  • Nice finish, thanks for posting the whole play...I enjoy reading about how people play and think...I think that maybe we should start a section on "Game Postings" were you can post plays like that for learning purposes.

Although I am no where close to your level of play, IMHO, ya couldn't have played it any better. GG.
