CN during the holidays

just curious if anyone knows how busy the poker room is at casino niagara during the holidays (dec. 22 to jan. 7). i'm off for two weeks so figured i'd try and get down there a couple times at least. i'd assume lots of tourists on vacation but idk.

    It is BONKERS . Very busy and lots of tourists. 1-3 and 2-5 are much softer than usual.

    I concur, I remember that a friend of mine and I went to Niagara New Years Eve about 3 yrs in a row.. It was wild, poker was loose and crazy and the women were scantily dressed... Makes me want to go there again this New Years.

    I know for sure my dog sitter is not around but if I take her for a super long walk before I leave, I could leave around 3 but would have to head back home just after midnight.

    That would be fine with me, not sure the people watching would be as good as when the poker room used to be in the middle of the floor though... Poker should be excellent. Anyone else not have anything to do on NY eve?

    i probably can't make it nye since i'll be at moose's on the 30th, but i'll try to post the days i do end up heading out (depending on weather obviously).

    Ok.... I am in. Will cancel the 29th and go on New Year’s Eve.

    I'm still good for going both the 29th and 31st New Years eve if others are going. For any of you able to get away NY eve will be the best, or at least it always was. Mike you in for one or both?

    Well Mary won't be going either day so I am wide open, go as early as you like or stay reasonably late. NY Eve will be wild for sure.

    Truck fire on Niagara bound QEW in Grimsby . I think they have re-opened one lane so far. Check traffic reports before heading out.

    apparently its super busy on bravo, im 2 1/2 hr away so i havnt been to check yet. but it seems like its the place to go now.

    17 tables last night on a thursday, granted its a holiday week but still. even saw a 2/5 plo $200-$1k

    hopefully this replaces fallsview for awhile...

    all of you goin down, someone take some pics! :D would be cool to see what new renos look like.

    I got squashed like a cockroach. Brought 3k..... lost 3k.......


    this hand will explain how my night went. Comp asked me if I was playing a crazy amount of hands ...... I was seeing less than 20% of flops.

    I have AK spades in late position. Playing 2-5 with a 10 dollar straddle most hands. There is a raise to 45 right after the straddle and another caller before it gets to me. I re-raise to 150. Only get one caller.

    Flop comes 2s4s9s. Alright, I am feeling pretty damm good. Guy in early position bets 300 into a just over 400 pot. I min raise him to 600..... he shoves. I snap call . I started the hand with 2100 guy had me covered.

    He friggin called my 150 pre flop raise with 2 4 offsuit. Wtf ?? Turn is a Kh.... river is s friggin 4.

    i flop the nut flush and loose a 4300 pot to someone that called with 2-4 off suit.

    comp did remind that I used to be the guy with the 2 4 offsuit ....... he was right so I drove home and walked the dog and took my beating like a man. I did have to share this hand with y’all because it is a little Kookoo.

    DJ ..... on your table did someone hit the bad beat ? The dealer screamed out jackpot but then I saw him dealing a few mins later ?

    No bad beat. Someone was trying to get a supervisors attention by yelling, it didn't work.
    I had a good night, up almost $1000 in 7 hours of playing. I left at 1am.

    Ironically, I think you beat DJ with 24o in a hand that was 4 or 5 bet PF.
