Brantford 2014 Tourney Info

I complained several times last year that the starting stacks for tournaments could no longer be found on the website anywhere. What tournament coincided with the 2 payout structures also vanished. Not sure when it happened but the length of the blind levels is also now nowhere to be found. Looks like my complaints to the staff who don't seem to give a #$@% really worked-lol

I would like to compile a list of this info here for myself and any other players who are interested. I don't play there very often anymore and am basically starting from scratch. If anyone can provide the starting stack and length of blind levels for a particular event I can do the math and update the list below.

Thanks

Got my hands on the list for 2014

  • I'm assuming the gentlemen's event is the same as the ladies-can anyone confirm?
  • Rules including blind structures and prize payouts.

Thanks Blondefish! Do you know how accurate this list still is? I know the $60 event starting stacks have been changed from 5k to 10k. Crazy that they haven't posted this info in 2 years.
At least the male douchebags don't crash the ladies events any more

I'm happy with the solution Brantford implemented. I think its the most reasonable solution to everyone involved.
  • You're welcome. I didn't notice any significant inaccuracies whenever I check with the >= $130 tournaments I play.

Is anybody else playing the $130 Super Satellite at Brantford tonight?

  • All information updated & current as of 2014. There are a few details I didn't confirm that are asterisked. I will confirm and update soon.
  • Bumped because I noticed someone asking for the info in another thread and because it reminded that I had not updated this thread as promised.

Info is straight form the black binder at the pokerdesk @ Brantford.

Will reconfirm bounty amounts on my next visit but played in the $150 recently and it is a $25 bounty.
  • I played yesterdays deepstack. Blind levels are not long enough for a deep stack in my opinion. I asked about next week's $550 and was told the blind levels and time for the blinds are the same. 20 minute levels and the blind structure they have are not what I want to play for a $550.

i was there, got knocked out at the 600/1200 level, my kk shove got cracked by aq, a hitting on turn...how did you do?

The $550 deep stacks are 40min blind levels. not 20min.
  • The $125 "deepstack" has a 10.62 patience factor. Despite the advertising anything below $230 there is on the turbo side.

That being said I was there on Sunday too and thought I should mention that there have been some changes in the poker room.

You must now have a winner’s circle card to register for any poker tournament. NO POINTS- I was told they are working on it and hopefully soon. They were signing people up in the registration line. Hopefully they will work out the kinks soon, but the line was long and seemed to be moving at a snails pace.

Call in registration will no longer be available on the day of a tourney, in person only. You can still call in advance, just not on the same day of the tourney you plan to play.

You must now stand up from your chair and back away from the table if you plan to pull your phone out-not sure what old rule was.

BBJ qualifying hands is now quads over quads.

Not sure if I’m remembering everything from the board they had posted with the new rules.

The $550 deep stacks are 40min blind levels. not 20min.

Dj’s right. Hope whoever told you this just made a mistake and this is not part of the new rules- that would be terrible.
