  • If anyone is interested in the room I booked, I think it's possible that it will be available. Rate I got it at is cheaper than what you can get online right now so PM me if you're interested.

For anyone interested, Ill be driving up on Friday the 15th early afternoon from the GTA if youre interested in a lift.

I'll be returning either Sunday or Monday (depends on the Sunday event) so you may have to figure out a flight/train/bus home if youre not on my schedule.

Are you staying for the main? I thought I read on twitter that you'd won a satellite.

No, i won a package for some of the side events. I could have chosen the main but because of the timing it wont work.
  • I'm going to try and take a couple of days before our events at PG and get to Lac Leamy to play one or two side events - most likely event 1, 2, or 3. I'm always up to meet forum people so look for an older guy (? I guess I am - mid-40s) who has put on some pounds and will be wearing some kind of PG hoodie.
  • Are they going to be using standard deck of cards or the french deck for the wsop events

:o When is the next rake-free satellite for a WSOP-C ME that is NOT on an early Friday night?

Dunno, I will only be running sattys to local events, as I personally cannot travel for poker very often. And based on the availability of most players, Fridays seem to work best. I may try a Saturday in Dec, but no promises.
Thanks for checking. Are you planning on going? I'm planning very tentatively for Nov 17-22.

Very tentative for me as well. I've booked off the week of the 18th as Vacay, but it depends on what happens with my wife's job between now and then.

If I go, planning on hitting the $300 satellite on Monday.

Will not be going for sure now. My wife starts her new job on the 11th, with no vacay for 6 mos, which probably rules out the FPC as well, depending on schedule when it comes out.
  • Is there any chance that any of the flights for the main sell out?

Unlikely seeing how they take place on a weekday.
  • It now looks like I won't be playing any events. My back muscle spasm is now diagnosed as a herniated disk and going for a CT soon. Was going to play tomorrows Rama tourney but I cannot drive that far let alone 5 hours to Ottawa.
  • I did play in a tournament - maybe 40 people.. at the lac leamy a few years ago and came in 2nd. When I got to heads up, I had a slight chip advantage but couldn't close the deal. I was slightly annoyed that my opponent who spoke perfect English, sat there chatting strategy with 4 railbirds of his around me all speaking French. There is nothing wrong with that, we were in Quebec. . . it was just slightly unnerving as I only speak english and other gambling languages like cantonese and veitmamese.

It would be interesting to know if I played in the WSOPC Lac Leamy and the same thing happened, would I be able able to rely on the Tourney Director enforcing WSOPC official tournament rule 57 -" english only at all WSOPC event tables?" I bet that would cause a kerfufle at the Quebec Government run lac leamy haha.
  • Hey some of you may know, some may not. In the past I have played in Buzzards tournament. I was considering going to wsop ottawa. I don't have a car and must take the bus. So just seeing if anybody wanted to carpool and share a ride with me, always better to have company. haha
  • Good luck fuckers! ;p
  • I'm going tomorrow to play in Event 3. And that will be all, I'm 99% sure.
  • Anyone know if they are actually licsenced to deal PLO yet, I would hope because of getting a WSOP event, I will be there for the non-event day PFFT!

Anyone who is there let me know I am to guess the room is pretty full?

GL to anyone else playing i'll be there tomorrow for 1c and be playing the post-lims over the weekend.
  • I plan to show up wed eve and all day thurs, anyone know how busy the cash games are??

I've been before if any regulars let me know that would be great.

The cash room is a zoo, but they do a far better job then Fallsview in opening up tables as tournament tables break.

Make sure you let them know you played the tournament, gets you to the top of the list.
  • I could do a better job than fallsview with no computer or white board although I've been to lac lemy a few times, its a well run room, its ontario that sucks for some reason, maybe olg funding.
  • Anyone actually playing cash tonight? I'm headin now for at least a 4 hour session perhaps more
  • Congrats to my friend Nick for winning a WSOP gold ring.

The weird scheduling of the Main Event Flight B at 9 p.m. on the same day resulted in it being cancelled due to no interest. The tournament emcee announced all dealers will pledge their tokes to the ONE DROP charity. I wonder if all the underpaid dealers that rely on tips agreed to that!
Each Day 1 flight now plays nine levels instead of the 12 originally scheduled. Registration remains open until the end of Level 11 allowing players who have not used their re-entry the opportunity to re-enter during Day 2. This amended schedule gives players in each flight the opportunity to re-enter if necessary.
Wow, so a player who got eliminated in all his Day 1 re-entries gets to re-enter yet again on Day 2?! No wonder even Matt Savage doesn't like the bad re-entry format any more.
