really? you aren't calling min bet of 300 in the BB with a pot of 2220 (actually more like 2520 since UTG will most likely come along as well like he did)?

is it because our stack is too short?

that's what i was personally leaning towards. i'd still like to hear what others would make of villain's range, or is that irrelevant in this situation?
  • easy checkraise, bad spot to flat. No idea what I can put villain on ^^'

i'm assuming check/raise all in. it is more or less the flop i was looking for.
  • One reason not to flat is you aren't closing the action, your also oop without initiative. And you are probably dominated and won't really know it....you have a lot of reverse implied odds.

I don't think this is the flop you wanted, I think you like it because its easy and you know what to do. You want a flop where you are ahead and you know that you are ahead, not where you are drawing and are basically committed to getting it in (I admit its a monster draw but I think you get what I mean). At this point though I'm sure its correct to get it in.

His min 3bet nuts his range to monsters and a few wacky hands once in awhile (maybe he misclicked).

I may flat here in the big blind if I'm deep and confident the utg is loose and won't 4bet lots. The problme is if he is tight and only opens 10% of hands, and then 4bets 5%, then half the time you loose this flat preflop.

Also with 20bbs some winning players only shove or fold and never raise or flat. If there are flatters they shove or fold maybe even 30bbs. So flatting with 20 bbs here is suspect i think.
