Higher stakes cash games in Calgary and Edmonton?

I will be visiting Calgary and Edmonton this September on business. I've never been there before, but and I know there are a few casinos in each city. I am looking to book my hotels now and I was wondering where the best higher stakes cash games are played in the evenings.

    I liked Stampede in Calgary. Walked there a couple times from my hotel.

    What do you mean highest stakes -- there is typically a 10-25-(50) PLO going in Calgary. Jontm would likely know the current location of the game. That's the only game nearly that big in either city.

    That one is closest to downtown, right? What was the hotel?

    I only play NLHE. Where and what are the highest stakes in Alberta for that?

    Can't recall, it was for a conference. There are plenty of hotels near the casino. Think the biggest game they had was 2/5.

    There aren't any high stakes holdem games...2/5 is the largest you will find. Try Deerfoot, Grey Eagle and Stampede in Calgary...Yellowhead and Argyll in Edmonton

    OK... I thought there might have been a 5/10 game somewhere, at least in Calgary. Thanks to you both for for the feedback.

    Yellowhead in Edm you may find 2/5 maybe 5/10 rarely....I know they have big PLO games on fri nights and weekends sometimes

    Yeah, this......don't think I've ever seen a 5/10 unless a tourney series was running. I think on a lot of nights a 2/5 could get going if you tried to get a list, but it plays much like the 1/2, as it's a 500NL at 1/2.

    The 2/5 in Edmonton is often a worse game to sit in than a deep 1/2. In Calgary the 2/5 are usually really good games.
