more funish....

hero with about 25 bbs ep/mp antes in play now......

hero 2.2x's 36s same villain (well covers me) in other hand min raises from mp/lp....im used to folding oop but can i flat this ?

not much info im giving but its more of a generally question....

Comments

  • With 25bbs I would be tighter and not raise these types of hands from mp, only lp, exactly because of these situations.
In regards to the question, if you flat you will be left w/ 20bb's and oop. For the most part needing to hit the flop as villain (well covers you) will c bet putting you into a position of push/fold as you won't be able to chase w/ your stack.

So really I would ask myself what range would he do this with pre and knowing that is it worth getting involved knowing how hard you need to hit the flop for it to be profitable?
  • I like to fold twice in this hand. You're really handcuffed by your stacksize, #s of players behind and the craptasticness of 36s which makes me like an openmuck. Once you've opened + been 3bet you win the pot such a tiny % of the time oop that you are far better off folding instead of throwing more good $ in after bad
  • did i mention im sooooted tho???
  • with 25 BBs I can't really fault any open from this kind of position unless someone is going to exploit it

what if were pretty confident that no one will exploit it.....and the we have the type of image of a begginer nit....

sorry just to reiterate to all the question is...can we flat pre ever? ^-^
  • sure you can, the rest is up to you though

If we want to put more $ in the pot to check / lose a ton of boards then sure! Why not?
  • Why do u want to play oop tho

Indeed we do imo, I'm not folding for 1,2 BB's

i want to stop here and say i agree and respect your posts...don't ever stop...ima rail you and others on this situation and topic tho.
  • his minraise smells like a fairly strong AJish hand who wants to iso your in his eyes supoer small open. Not matter how you want to play it out postflop your stack is 20x your investment which is good enough implied odds for most situations
  • Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

because i play micro 180's and its a profitable open....i had a really tight image. knowing a lot of players are tightening up at this point i felt like it was a good spot....i can easily fold to any 3bet but ive never been min raised back....

This would be fantastic info to put in the topic! Why does nobody post buyins here?

Still not sold that you're profitable opening it, btw, but w/e. Fold.

no this is a live tourney with a 1k buy in...but the players play like the micros just way tighter....im not sold either....but ya...fol.d....
  • FOLD, you could just get into a really ugly spot

Ya I dunno why it always does this... I figured out a while back that its an error with the converter

See the 72o I dont get at all... with the blinds being shorties, how can atc open be profitable? Thought you were questioning my 72o open bvb in the other thread???
