3 Hands for review

#1 This guy was slow in his calls, but that's really about all I have. He was pretty tight, and I hadn't seen much from him. My real question is, did I miss value on the river? Is this a spot you should be going to town? I felt that if he had AA, it goes in at turn.... With the way the hand played out, I'm calling all river bets(Is that a bad idea?)

#2 We hadn't seen many multi-way pots, so I felt this was a good time to raise/squeeze. I wasn't at all expecting 3 callers. Is the 3bet too small? On the flop, I check. Is it ever ok to bet here, or is that pretty much just lighting money on fire?

#3 This hand is more a reminder hand. This is why it is important to pay attention to what is going on at the table. We had a small(~5orbit) history of the button raising, SB 3bets, I fold, Button Folds. My plan for the hand was to 3bet no matter who raised, but when the situation above presented itself again, it felt like the right idea to 4bet. Sadly, one of them left the game shortly afterward. Thoughts?

Comments

  • Hand 1 = I probably bet $22 on river/fold to a raise against this type of player, against someone more loose/aggro I'd prob check riv to induce bluffs.

Hand 2 = yes your squeeze is WAY TOO SMALL, I make it at least $15 here, 4-way I'm not betting this flop, even 3way I wouldnt actually.

    Hand 3 = I like this, wp
  • I'd say that's a pretty thoughtful, thought provoking, well formatted first post! Not even in the introduction area.
