felt pretty gross about any move here....villian was running 35/10 thru only 31 hands

  • im likely to call this and evaluate river....there are lots of scenarios where you are ahead and he can't donk the river very big...or if he does he has a hand....
  • He might just have a heart draw and will bet on river if he misses. I call and hope no heart hits so I can call river.
  • We are in a five buck game, villain is the blind...he can have pretty much anything here. I think he donk bets the turn when he picks up his third 8 or realizes his 10 is probably good. If he was gonna bet a draw, he would have done it on the flop. I think a fold is in order here..probably just playing pretty straight forward..has A10s, or A8s..or K10, 10J..910,etc

    yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa........prob a good idea....
  • k i looked at the stack sizes here....i do think we can actually call and evalute river. Opponent called from the sb so were prob looking at a PP, a slow played monster pair, AK, or some broadway. The 8 on the turn doesn't change the board but this time the villain donks out.

I think if he hand 66 or 77 he would do this putting us on AK. or with a strong flush draw such as kqs or j9s. Also any AhXh hand i think could do this.

Because of hands like this I think villain dependent we can call the donk bet and evaluate the river. I just don't see many hands leading out on the river and think we will see a free showdown. If any heart comes he isn't likely to bluff with medium hands so we can safely fold or check it back. After calling this turn bet there aren't many cards he can feel comfortable bluffing at.

Donking in generally is goin to suggest some sort of weakness and uncomfortableness from villain. Although it can be a slowplayed monster much of it comes from hoping he gets to see a river card. We are getting 3 to 1 on the call and i think thats mostly all well have to pay (even if it means folding to a river blank)

Edit: as for not donking the flop, it doesn't really suggest much just that villain is taking a fishy line. He can check back the flop hoping we'll check and when the turn comes he can donk for pot control (fishy).
