  • Over to you, Jimmy Olsen . . .
  • I'm so choked with PlayNow for cancelling this satellite....finally found a day to play in one to take my shot at playing in the ME of the WSOPC. I called down and they blamed it on a technical problem! Only good thing was my google searches led me to this forum.....looks cool.

Yes, this was part of my original rant...that we couldn't carry sat. wins to a weekend that we could play. Like yourself, this was the only Sunday I had available...It seems technical problems are abundant this week....
  • Are they going to use same software for the actual events?

    Edit: haters gonna hate...
  • Still tilted..

Jon..party still doing wpt sats? Thinking about withdrawing and putting the cash on party to come to Montreal...lol
  • This is lame.

Was thinking about playing a couple of late sattys and grind it out... will stay clear now.

    Thanks Dennis.

Apparently there are still 2 sats going, tonight and wed? A 365 sat and a 580. If they play out, great..I need to burn up these tournament credits as I can't cash them out...lol

  • just found this thread. mind = blown with all of this nonsense that playnow is pulling. looks like i was lucky that mine didn't get interrupted/cancelled. they really need to get their act together. it took them forever to make software changes that are blatantly obvious and then this stuff. any chance we could steer someone from playnow to this thread/forum to see what their customers are saying? If i remember correctly, there was a playnow rep on the weaktight forums some time ago, not sure if they're still active.

    Which Sats are they?

80+5 for the 2k pkg and 150+10 for 3k pkg.
  • This is like an emotionally abusive relationship...
  • so do you start the entire sat from the beginning? or does the sat start where it was interrupted?

  • Hey guys, I have been watching this thread and thought i would jump in. Feel free to ask me any questions or PM me.

A big concern on this thread was the cancellation of the WSOPC tournaments last weekend. The outage was not planned but the incident has been isolated and there won't be any issues with Events 11 and 12 online.
  • It's about time we shook you out of woodwork ;p

Reading the thread, there was at least 3 tournaments interrupted in about a week; why so unstable?

Those deposits are only good if you use one of 3? banks..forget which ones, *(RBC, TD, ??) but my credit union isn't one..lol So yeah, 2 days to deposit.

The whole missing the hand after you sit out really pisses me off too..

The site is good in the sense that there is a lot of poor play, a real mine field, if you will...but yeah, the lack of players and tourneys worth playing is annoying. Everything happens between 5pm and 8 pm pst it seems..nothing afterwards...While this is usually good, it isn't when you have a life to deal with as well..lol. I used to HATE late registration...but I really wish this site had it as the only tournies are right on the hour and half hour..big wait when you just miss one.

    BBJ is usually huge, yep!

Give it time..it will be good. Lots of bugs to work out and players to join! Hope to help that aspect out sooon!!!! We are working on a partnership with Playnow/BCLC and Big Slick Poker Tour..

Did Big Slick and PlayNow ever get together?
  • One more; please explain VIP program...
    (for thread's readers)
  • 1. the first disconnect on the $365 table last week were caused by maintenance on the quebec platform. From that it caused the issue of any tournament that had a satellite into it not running. Clearly not the technical explanation, but the issue has been isolated and wont be an issue.

    2. Big Slick and PlayNow never did get together

    3. PlayNow doesn't have a traditional VIP program like Stars and FTP. It is something that is being worked on currently but it is going to take some time.
  • Glad you made it out finally Steve :)

I still think we should build a pub poker league for playnow :P

PlayNow has been around for almost a year and a half right?

Is it a regulatory issue that is slowing up a traditional VIP program or is it just the numbers?
  • There are PXP (poker experience points) at this point, that add up and you can enter some tournaments with those.

That's a reward program, good to have in thread. What about deposit bonuses?
  • would it be possible to get an option to choose English or French? Rather than getting both all the time? I feel that sometimes a tournament can be better described with the limited space if they didn't have both languages in the tournament description box.
  • Not so much regulatory as there is a much bigger picture potential to mix it with BC casinos. When it does launch it will be one of the best out there as it will be very localized to benefit BC players. Right now we do have PXP's as Dennis mentioned and you can redeem them for tournament credits and we do buy-ins for tournaments. For example right now we are doing a small PXP buy-in to win a $9500 package to go to St Kitts to play in a tournament. Things like that to hold us over until the full system launches. And to answer your next question, i dont know when it is launching :)

As for deposit bonuses we can't do them. I wont get into specifics but its a software thing.

Hey Tony, it isn't possible because we are on a network with Quebec. They launched before us and have a higher % of players so french is first. It could change in the future when more provinces come on board.
  • I understand that we're on a network with Quebec as well, but couldn't there be an option to choose one language or the other? I'm sure those from Quebec wouldn't mind having French only.

or at least make it so that the info box size can be increased, or opened in a new screen. with the french crammed in there it's barely readable.
