Flopped the nuts, how would you play it?

75 dollar tourney on full tilt. Havn't seen villain do much out of the ordinary except flat quite a few of my opens. He seems solid enough, I got the job done by faking weakness but afterwards my line just felt silly. Ideas on what to do in this spot?

(I'm asking what to do against his range, not against his kings, there's no stopping the chips from getting in against the hand he happens to have)

  • uh... considering you took it down, Id say, the way you played it!

In all seriousnees, regardless if you pushed post flop, he still woulda called with the Kd and the highest pair.

    NH man.
  • Well played.
The small bet on the turn made is seem like a probe bet and you got him to jam.
  • Looks good to me.

With him having the King of diamonds paid you off.

    nh sir.
  • I don't think he shoves that hand without Kd.

I like the donk bet on the turn. It almost seems like a blocker bet or that you may have A10, J10 with a diamond. You don't play a set like that on that board, so you are either weak or he is drawing dead.

    You got the maximum. WP
  • I like it. Donking the turn tells villain you have the Ad in most scenarios and he want to make you pay to draw.

Ive been leading the nuts almost always and slowing on the turn lately which I think is also OK.
