Me getting pwned HARD

So in this hand I knew the only hand in his range that can beat me here is 10-10, which is exactly what he had, just curious if I am overplaying this hand (considering the board), and if so how can I avoid doing this in the future. Or if you think I just got coldecked then I wouldn't mind hearing that as well. :P

I guess on this I was expecting a re-raise with the AK, so I stupidly took that out of his range, I guess the call makes sense when your OOP. The shove on the turn is protecting against the mythical flush draw....that and If I'm wrong well he only had another 1.20 in his stack anyways......I knew I wasn't getting away from this hand so, yea... that's dumb of me. Help with all of these hands would be great, this one especially as I think I played this the worst of all.

And lastly.....sadly......

....The guy limped with tens......come on......I don't really feel that I played this one terribly (contrary to second hand I posted...ugh) because I think most players are not just open limping with with most pocket pairs that can beat 6's. However.........poker is not dealing with absolutes as they say.

And yea playing 1/2 again because my BR sucks because of donk plays like this lol.

Calling this 1/2 is the funniest part of the thread. Anyway glad to see you are treating your bankroll properly at least.

Live 1/2 game (200max) at a casino. I am BB with A9o. 5 limpers, I see a flop for free.

    Flop K99.

I check, UTG +$10, one caller, rest fold, I bump to $50, he goes to $150, I shove, he calls. Over $600 in the pot. He shows KJ. Turn K.

It happens, you move on. At least you only lost less than $10 in all of the above.
  • looooooooll oops,

    **CORRECTION**

    1/2CENT

    My bad, and thanks G2.
  • Hand #1 - don't fall in love with over pairs; I make more money with trips vs over pairs than any other situation.

Hand #2 - hard to get away from but lots of hands that beat you on that flop. I had the same situation the other night but had the AK and the other guy had AA. Try and get away from AK with an A and K on the flop.

Hand #3 - when you flop a boat with a baby pair, remember, any pair over 6s has you beat. Lots of players call with pairs hoping to hit trips.

You don't want to be pushed around at the table so sometimes you have to make these calls as a lot of times the other guy will just be representing a hand with junk. I probably would have lost the most on hand #2. Especially with the call on the flop.
