Should I have just called and left with 160 chips? I feel I was pot committed.

  • I agree you were pot committed....chances of doing anything with 160 chips is very remote...you are pushing on either of next two hands or the blinds will get you again.

    I think this was just unlucky for you - you played it well and so did your opponent. In hindsight, the only thing you could have done differently is to push on the flop (top pair, crappy kicker, but a gutshot str8 draw as well) and hope to drive him out there...but then you wouldn't really have won much either, and you were shortstacked and saw a very strong chance to double up. You just got unlucky - the big blind saw a flop for free, liked it enough to stick around, and caught a better str8 on the turn. It happens.
