I think im more likely to raise the flop since you have overcards + gutter + flushdraw. Nice hand.
  • hand 1 I push
    hand 2 is fine
hand 3 raise more PF - I go broke here, buy a lotto ticket.
  • cooooooool, thanks guys!!:)
  • Hand 1 I likely fold. You can just find better spots to get you $ in. I think pushing is porbably pretty spewy. Calling is probably fine but I just think it puts too much of your stack in the middle in a situation where you're likely going to have to fold 2/3rds of the time.
  • Hand 2 raise the flop. You should be aggressive with your draws. If you play them aggressively from the flop you likely get more than one chance to make your opponent fold if you miss throughout the hand. When you hit you can obv figure out how to get value instead. Your hand is very valuable on the flop but then drop considerably in a value on the turn if you miss. So play it aggressively while it has value.
  • Hand 3 please bet the hand somewhere. If he's loose then he's going to miss a ton of the time. Checking the flop for pot control is fine but you have to bet the turn. If he raises the turn then you can make a decision. If there's some other reason you knew he was strong that'd be helpful info. I've been in hands like this before where I checked the flop and was sure a super agro opponent would bet any hand but a monster then I played the hand like you did for that reason. Unl;ess you have a read like that then you have to bet.
  • wooot woooot, awesome, exactly how i was thinking this hand:)

  • Here is my two cents.

First one, I would have folded given the amount of players playing, the stakes and the blinds. Other players were probably playing pretty loose at this point in the tournament.

Second one, like everyone else is saying, you had a great hand and I personally probably would have gone with a very large bet pre-flop. He probably would have folded and you would have lost 0 chips. I think of saving chips, rather than getting more. If he calls, you still had the odds on your side. From there, your call may have been the right one if you had a tell, but I personally would have been raising quite a bit. He may have folded thinking I had QA when the river came. Then again, you may have hit your K on the river. This would have been a 'bad beat' and you can't always shy away from them, cause most of the time you will win. However, you may have had a read on him and said you did, so you knew best.

The third one, I would have raised right after the flop to get him out of the hand right away. I found that much more profitable in draw situations. Sometimes people call and you catch a good hand to double up. that's the reason to play suited connectors sometimes. Good thing you hit though and good job on getting a lot of chips out of it! I bet he would have folded with a pair of 4's after the turn though, cause he was now facing 2 higher community cards than the one he had.

I'm not sure why he called your raise though. Did he think you were bluffing? What were you doing for table image? I always try to make it seem like I am loose when I am not. This could be a reason why he called you on your bet. Although, he should have raised if he thought you were bluffing.
