Pushing with a Set

How often do u guys push all in when you flop a set on the flop when your in later position faced with a decent sized bet? The Flop is say 9D 10D JH,and you have pocket 10's, so your looking at a possible straight or potential flush, do you still push in this position?

much more information required. stacks? position? table image? your image? etc. etc.
  • want to make them pay to chase their draws; if it cost you most of your stack to accomplish this, might as well push. You might already be up against a straight and therefore behind. If you still have plenty of chips left if you call the raise, you might want to call to see what the turn/river bring.
  • Similar, but not quite. Here I get flamed for even remotely thinking of folding to two pushes with top set.

  • You want to get all the money in on the flop any way you can
  • whether you raise or shove depends on stack sizes but either way you want to get your money in as fast as possible

I don't think pushing the flop was a way to maximize return here. What if he has AK, A9, etc. I can't actually feel the sarcasm in your post, but I sure hope there was some there.

Why did you smooth call with JJ?? (that is what I am seeing correct??) I would have made it 900-1400 to go....at least define his hand a little more...
