"Daniel is currently in Atlantic City from October 4th through 8th playing in the US Poker Championships. From the 8th through the 12th, he'll be visiting Toronto and may make an appearance at Casino Rama, and possibly Port Perry or Brantford."

Anyone have any more info about this?

    He posted in RGP that he would be here from the 6th to the 12th and was planning a trip to Port Perry. He is also going to be doing Breakfast TV.

    I emailed Daniel 2 weeks ago and asked him if he is ever going to come to Canada to play. Although his email was a quick reply I thought it was pretty awesome that he even emailed back. I copied his reply below:


    "I doubt it. Unless of course the WPT holds an event there. The events are just too small to make the trip worth it."

    I am trying my hardest to get him on a TV show that some of you know I work on. I just emailed the producers, so obviously there is no guarantee at all as I haven't even heard back from them yet, but that would be very, very cool. He'd be a great guest. I'll let you know if I succeed... it's pretty short notice.

    You know what sucks? I won't be there. I took work elsewhere for that day, long before I knew that Daniel would be in Toronto. Oh well, I'll watch it at home, and I'll get someone to ask him to sign my cover of CPP. Too bad I won't actually get to meet him though, especially after I went to all the trouble of hooking the producers up with him in the first place!

    Day of, and next day. Each episode runs three times... 6:00 pm EST on Monday, 3:00 am EST Tuesday morning, noon EST Tuesday afternoon, all on TSN.

    Yeah... that might have been poor marketing if they *didn't* end up getting him. Nice to hear that he will be on though. And great timing for TSN with them airing a bunch of the 2004 WSOP coverage this week & next week.

    Glad you let us off the hook and now we know. I never would have figured out what show it was...

I have to admit, I didn't catch that the first time around Scotty... you are much too subtle for me. :D Speaking of subtlety, on an entirely different note, I've been reading some of the Isaac Asimov 'Foundation' books, and there are a lot of great one-liners that I apply directly to poker. My lastest favourite:

    "It pays to be obvious, especially when you have a reputation for subtlety".

    Maybe I'll change my signature.

    I just got back from drinks with Negreanu. What a cool guy. Down to earth and genuinely a nice guy.

    Sorry all_aces, I thought we were meeting early but he called me at 10.30pm and said 'I'll meet you in 15 minutes'. I figured it may have been too late to call you, but he said he will send you a signed picture.
