  • We guarantee $50,000 even if the three tables aren’t filled. Plus this is an all inclusive vacation in a tropical paradise we are talking top of the line service, variety of drinks, steak, lobster....
  • btw, airfare is also not included. might be a nice first prize for a home game :)
  • Our inventory consists of the following locations:

    Jaco, Costa Rica
    Heredia, Costa Rica
    Marbella, Spain
    Algarve, Portugal
    Thornbury, Ontario, Canada
    Freeport, Bahamas
    Monte Ste. Anne, Quebec
    Kissimmee, Florida

If I had to choose one place, which location would I go to?
  • Maybe we should try for the Thornbury location.. At least we could drive there. Where the hell is Thornbury anyhow? Just kidding on that one..

  • Speaking of poker vacations, what do people think about the upcoming WPT Boot Camp in the Bahamas - Battle for the Season Pass II? Including the Season Pass to play in ten U$10K WPT tournaments, the prize pool is U$211,700. With the prize pool based on 150 participants paying up to U$4,295 each for the "all inclusive course," the maximum revenue the WPT is getting is $644,250. So each participant is paying up to an extra U$2,884 for the non-tournaments part of the vacation, which includes 7-night stay at the resort, round trip airfare from Miami, meals, parties, VIP room for cash games and two days of learning labs with over 20 professional players. In comparison, the non-poker cost is $2,917 for the Costa Rica vacation, which is only for five days with no WPT Boot Camp.

The prize pool will increase by U$10,000 for every 25 additional participants over 150. While this is better than the first Battle for the Season Pass, it means that only U$400 of each extra player's $4,295 will go to the prize pool.

Waiting for the WSOP in Las Vegas would probably be a much better-value family vacation for me, but I am seriously considering going. Another forum member went last year and is enthusiastically returning. Any other forumer tempted?

It's hard to put a value on the following opportunites:
    - listening to Scotty Nguyen, T.J. Cloutier and Todd Brunson
    - solving difference equations with my poker hero, Bill Chen
    - learning about tilt control from Mike Matusow
    - discussing advanced game theory with Vanessa Rousso 8)
    - staring at Clonie Gowen, Karina Jett & Kristy Gazes ;)
    - getting acting tips from Shannon Elizabeth. >:D

  • I think I am more into a forum cruise:

    http://playerscruise.com/

    I am thinking Oct/08.

It got a good review on a different forum. Quality dealers. 20% juice on the tourneys, not unreasonable for tourneys <$100. Chance to satellite into the WSOP. 10% rake up to $6 + $1 for a jackpot. Again, not unreasonable for on a cruise ship.

you think? Bahamas is a great place. I was there this summer for one week. Which hotel would you be staying at? Although, the casinos do not offer NLH of any kind. Only the various games against the house. Not unless they have exceptions that week.
