on.partypoker.ca

edited April 2022 in Online Poker
After 888 and BetMGM Ontario have us Ontario players fenced in from the rest of the world since April 4, thanks to the AGCO and Doug Ford's government, >:) the next one to be fenced in is partypoker on Tuesday, April 12.

Ontario players should login to on.partypoker.ca on April 12 to verify that ALL your account balances have been correctly converted from US dollars to Canadian dollars. If you had U$1,000 Tournament Dollars (now partypoker dollars) denominated in US dollars along with U$1,000 cash, they should both be converted to C$. For example, using the Bank of Canada's official exchange rate of 1.2621 as of market close today, you should have around ~C$1,262 cash & C$1,262 in partypoker dollars on April 12.

The thousands of Tournament Dollars in U$ I earned awhile ago had no expiry date. The big disadvantage of them being converted to P$ is that "P$ are valid for 12 months" only, just like expiring tickets. 😔

  • After uninstalling the old partypoker client and installing the AGCO-approved client for Ontario, I can confirm that all my tournament US dollars and cash converted correctly to Canadian dollars. Three out the four Ontario-fenced poker sites are on the same network.

After the terrible change to their reward program where most of the players didn't get any cashback as a minimum $25 rake for the week was required and many players like me stopped playing there, partypoker will reduce the minimum to $3 rake/week.

  • I am on betmgm which is powered by partypoker but looks like not the same player pool? I am saying if you're an MTT online player it could be some great opportunities with not many players yet, IMO.
  • Can you confirm that there are overlays at BetMGM like the other Ontario-only sites?
Have you been back at our favourite Casino Rama yet?

Took a quick look just now and almost every one of them had an overlay,LOL. I was shocked when they went live with the mtt's and so many GTD tournaments with so few players on at any one time.

Only been back to Rama twice this year so far but not for poker so could not tell you what the state of poker is there.
