I hate losing when you had the nuts.

I pick up KTd and limp in, the button raises double the blind and I call. The flop is Ad 8d 2d. I check, he puts me all-in, and I call. He shows me a set of 8's. I knew right there that I was going to get outdrawn and bust out. The turn is a rag. The river is his fourth 8!!! DAHH!!!

I would've had a commanding chip lead playing three-handed.

*pulls out hair*

  • Yikes man. Nothing you can really do about that though. Good call there obviously as you had the best hand. Just was unfortunate.
  • Ouch...but there's absolutely nothing you could do there, you had to call
  • that sucks, and it just had to come on the river
  • you didn't do anything wrong. Just got a bad beat when you had the best of it. 10 times out of 10 you would have done the same play. I know I would have. Its better if the cards beat you like that, then to be beat making a horrible read or mistake. that's the mark of a good player. Don't feel bad!
  • now that is a bad beat ..once again poker is very demotivating
  • Yes, it can be very demotivating, unless I take all your money :D
  • Once you learn to get over the bad beats you will be fine...still I would hate to lose that hand :(
