2017 Poker Festivals

Here is the list of poker festivals that I'm considering going to for 2017, hopefully with a forum member or other friends.
  1. WPT Playground, January 29 - February 15; $165 Seniors Event on February 12. Booked Airbnb with PocketsTwos and Loose Goose; looking for drivers to share house that has a total of seven bedrooms. :h:

  2. Dublin Poker Festival, February 10–19; €230 Seniors on Valentine's Day. Date conflict with both WPT Playground and Fallsview, so didn't go.

  3. WPT Fallsview, February 17-24. I may book accommodations soon. :h:

  4. PokerStars Championship Panama, March 10-20; U$330 Seniors on March 12 (changed to U$100 + $20); 5:30 hr direct flight. Went with a total of 20 people! I cashed in four events, and five friends won a PokerStars Championship trophy like westside8. :h:

  5. WPT DeepStacks Calgary, March 10-20, Grey Eagle Casino; 4:20 hr direct flight. Conflict with PokerStars Panama, so not going.

  6. partypoker LIVE! Million Sochi, Russia, March 24-27; U$1 Million Gtd. Conflicts and no Seniors Event so not going.

  7. Irish Poker Open, March 27 - April 4; €500,000 Gtd €1,150 Main Event, €330 Seniors Event on April 2; 7-hour direct flight to Ireland. Booked with at least ten friends going. :h:

  8. PokerStars Championship Macau, March 30 - April 9; HK$4,400 Seniors on April 2 (cancelled? :(). Conflict with Irish Open.

  9. WPT DeepStacks Edmonton, March 31 - April 10, Yellowhead Casino. Conflict with PokerStars Macau.

  10. partypoker MILLIONS, April 11-23; £6 million Gtd prize pool, £1 milliion Gtd for first place; Dusk Till Dawn, UK.

  11. WPT Beijing / Ourgame Chess & Card Festival, April 15 - 19; U$3,500 buy-in, limited to 400 invitees; NUO Hotel Beijing, China. :h:

  12. PokerStars Championship Monte Carlo, Monaco, April 25 - May 5; €1,100 & €220 (removed? :() Seniors on April 29 & 30.

  13. Playground Poker Spring Classic, April 25 - May 10; $5 Million Gtd partypoker Million North America, $500,000 Gtd Grand Prix Canada. westside8 and one of my horseys have qualified into the $5,300 Day 1, with $1 million Gtd for first place. :h:

  14. PokerStars Championship Sochi, Russia, May 20-31; no Seniors.

  15. World Cup of Cards including partypoker LIVE, August - September, Playground Poker Club; Seniors. :h:

  16. PokerStars Championship Barcelona, Spain, August 15-27; Seniors?

  17. WPT DeepStacks Battle of Alberta Edmonton, September 8-18, Yellowhead Casino; on Twitch.

  18. Asian Poker Tour Philippines, September 13 - 21, Resorts World Manila, Pasay.

  19. WSOP Rozvadov, September 28 - October 19, King's Casino, Czech Republic.

  20. WPT DeepStacks Battle of Alberta Calgary, September 29 - October 9, Grey Eagle Casino; on Twitch.

  21. WPT Montreal, October 29 - November 16, Playground Poker Club; televised; Seniors. :h:


When any WSOP International or PokerStars Festivals announces a Seniors Event, I will add them. I don't plan to go to the WSOP or any US tournament.

    I'll probably be at PG for a couple of days, dates TBD.
    And also Fallsview for sure with an entry from a satellite win at OPT

    The rest is too far in advanced to plan out

    Considering PG in January. Have van that could comfortably fit 6.
    Does the pokerhouse have internet/wifi? I'd have to being my office with me, lol.

    Yes, I have had no problems with the wifi in either Airbnb floor. Bell TV has been another matter.
    The independent lower floor is still available for rental.

    I got to see Germany, Denmark, Turkey, Georgia, Dominican Republic and Las Vegas while making a profit in both cash games and tournaments, so I'm not allowed to complain!

    I have won a satellite to the Irish Open €500K Gtd, so I'm looking for a roommate at the venue hotel.
    Irish Poker Open, March 27 - April 4; €500,000 Gtd €1,150 Main Event, €330 & €275 Seniors Events on April 2; 7-hour direct flight.

    partypoker has parted ways with the WPT :o and will compete against WPT, WSOP & the faltering PokerStars Live with its own global tour called partypoker LIVE. John Duthie, the founder and former CEO of EPT, has been hired as the President of partypoker LIVE. Two of the seven announced events so far will be at Playground.

    April 25 – May 1: partypoker Grand Prix Canada, $500,000 GTE, $220 buy-in
    May 5-10: partypoker Million North America, $5,000,000 GTE, $5,300 buy-in

    The Grand Prix is where PocketsTwos made it to the final six and won more than 300 times the buy-in! :wav: The famous Golden Chip will be back. :h:
    westside8 has already qualified for the $5 Million Gtd in May.

    If anybody wants to participate in a rake-free satellite towards the $5 Million Gtd with buy-in at only ~$60, please let me know. I may also be interested in buying a piece for the $220-$550 buy-ins.

    Nice. What is your starting stack for Day 1s? (I understand that it is carried forward from whatever you ended with online?)

    It's similar to the PartyPoker Millions, you can buy in direct and get 1 million starting stack or carry over a stack from a Phase 1

    I just booked for Sept 4 arrival, planning to stay 4 days, maybe the week and see how things go. Will play Day 1D of the Playground 1000 for sure

    Not quite. Taking the late flight on Saturday night, so it'll be all over by the time I get there, but I should be just in time to pick off the drunkards. I didn't even know that was fight night when I booked it.
