  • You got this, bring it home !
  • Bust in 13th

I call sb shove in the bb with A8 suited. Villian had QJ. It was about a 11bb shove. I had around 20bbs. He hit a Q on flop

Few hands later I shove with
99 in the cutoff and get called by 55 in the sb. He hits 5 on turn. I had a redraw to a club for flush after the flop but missed. He hit is one out!! Only the 5 diamonds was good for him....I'm out and leave room cursing

    Sorry guys!!!!
  • The luck aspect can make this game frustrating sometimes. Better luck next time.
  • Nice playing with you today Mike. Had some good laughs at the table. Thanks again for the beer..I owe you one!!
  • Looks like your had some unfortunate luck. If BB, A8 suitted wins, it would be much different. Variance sucks. I hope there will be other BAP in the future.

Obviously read was good here, I picked up that he wasn't super strong. Considering his range here in the SB - is it a good call you think? I tanked for awhile before calling...it was certainly not automatic for me in this spot. My question would be - is this okay with my 20bbs here? Or is it too marginal/thin? At the time I had the 2nd shortest stack at my table but, was better than some at the other table. I would appreciate any comments....

If I double back up to 20 bbs (including antes) with my 99 I'm back in the game too.
  • Imo its a snap call with A8ss vs 12bb jam from sb, sure he has leverage over your stack by jamming there but you are ahead soooooooooo often. Well unless its comp just fold...

I have to agree with this. Your leading way more often. As you mentioned you were the second shortest at your table I think it's a no brainer.

Agree with the above. You're waay ahead of his shoving range, which should be ATC (any two cards) SB vs BB.
