Legends Classic Series - June 7-9, 2014

Comments

  • waiting for the inevitable withholding discussion
  • I got brain cancer trying to understand how you rationalize these things. thanks a lot!

I have to be in town for this period. I believe the wsop senor is at a similar date. that would make it worth the trip.

PS. i wont chop and i won't put in for the bubble prize or a last longer
  • so...a lot of forumers on here qualify for a seniors tournament?

recently, i've been a little curious as to the ages of members on this site. seems like most are a bit older than me (no offense). i'm 32 going on 18 so maybe that's my problem.

EDIT: the only one i know for sure about is comp being older than the universe itself. :D (sorry comp >:D)
  • Mot of the seniors events, including Binions which I have played before, are 50+, similar to grey power...

Our big question is: is pokerJAH old enough and going with us?

Yes I am in the eligible age range, but how do you expect us new age seniors to read this link??? I'm game as I was planning to go in June/July anyways. Although I don't plan to stay in the old downtown section.
  • LOL the Binion's one is 45+. Pretty low number to be "Senior".

That said, I qualify, and I will likely be in Vegas at the time. I just don't think I could break it to any of my poker buddies (who are much younger, as I started out as an internet-only player and think more like the kids) when I shipped it.
  • :
I was hoping that Venetian would have a dozen Survivor tournaments just like this month's DSE II, but unfortunately, the newly released DSE III schedule only has three: May 23, June 1 and 16. :'(
  • With the Aria, Planet Hollywood, Wynn, Venetian and other schedules finally available, here are the Seniors Events in case there are any seniors here that want to take advantage.

    June 4: Venetian, $600
    June 6: WSOP, $1000
    June 7-9: Binion's, $240 (Legends Classic Series, 45+)
    June 7-8: Golden Nugget, $230
    June 11: Wynn, $600
    June 19: Aria, $235
  • The bad news is that the SPT National Championship that I wanted to play at the Golden Nugget has been cancelled. The second bad news is that the Grand Poker Series finally disclosed its fees, and they are too high for the June 4-8 tourneys I was looking at, e.g., 22% for the satellites. The third strike is that Binion's finally replied to my question and the fees for the Legends Classic Series are also too hard to beat at 19%. So I can no longer find any +EV events in Las Vegas worth travelling to. :(

My last chance is to win an online satellite to the $1 million guaranteed WPT Aria.
Now PartyPoker Support claims that they have changed their minds about running any satellites after all. :o FML.

It's a good thing Ontario casinos will have highly +EV, high ROI tourneys with easy to beat fees in June and July, such as Rama (2/month), Mohawk (13-15/month), Brantford (18/month), 1000 Islands (20-23/month), Great Blue Heron (3), Woodbine & other OLG racetracks.
