I may have neglected to mention I got the nexus player from amazon at a very good price. Likely because there's a new one coming out. The remote is shit for Kodi but with a wireless keyboard mouse combo, it is as smooth as silk. Just amazing.
After being ripped off by Cogeco Cable just to watch the WSOP Main Event on TSN2, is there any better idiot-proof way to get rid of cable than a pre-configured MyGica 1800E? My better half watches in the living room with cable TV and an LG Blu-ray player with Smart TV, while I have a 42" LG HDTV that I use as a second poker screen with my laptop. Do I simply connect MyGica to my router and HDTV? I have rarely watched TV for years, but interested in shows such as World Poker Tour (FSN) and Game of Thrones (HBO).
Will I need a second MyGica for the living room TV? Should I buy a MyGica remote control with full keyboard? I may need to hire chaimr1924 the geek to teach an old dog new tricks.
I also have the mygica and got rid of all my bell tv services two months ago. Don't miss it one bit. I picked up the remote control that has the full keyboard on it and it is idiot proof.
I finally bought a great box all set u for $188 Tax Inc.The MyGica 1800E which is the latest works right from the get go just plugged in the HDMI cable to my TV and other end to my rogers modem.
Thanks to chaimr1924 for telling me about Kodi for Windows and I have started watching new movies. Has anybody found World Poker Tour episodes from FSN Season 13 such as WPT Fallsview?
I've searched & asked, and the WPT Season 13 episodes from FSN cable TV do not seem to be available yet. I'll bring your large-size poker hoodie next time I see you at GBH or other casino.
For my better half's TV in the living room, which of Amazon Fire TV, ROKU 3 or MyGICA is best to cut the cable TV cord permanently?
Since moose is the best EV-maximizing shopper I know, I'll probably buy this KODI player by tonight's deadline before I drive to Niagara Falls. I may need chaimr1924 the tech geek to show me how to use it tho.
Ordered, along with my daughter's Christmas wish of a One Direction life size cutout, which is as expensive. I think I'll figure out how to assemble the 1D cutout before the Kodi player.

I also ordered one to give to another newby friend as a chanukah gift.I am sure I will have to set it up for him as other people have been asking me.I will do a custom Kodi called the Beast which hsa everything you could wish for.Even Live TV.I did not order the cardboard One Direction
lol
chaimr1924 already received his Goobang Doo box, so when Fedex buzzed, I excitedly opened the door but it was not Goobang Doo and only the Harry Styles cutout.

I got a Nexus player for $69.99 two weeks ago and my co-worker put Kodi on it, has everything. Remote isn't ideal maybe but it works - you can also apparently get the Kore app on your android phone to turn it into a remote for Kodi.
Once I speed up my internet I'm getting rid of satellite. We really don't watch much TV anyway though.
After figuring out how to use my iPad as a remote control, mirror videos from my smart devices to the TV, load subtitles, and teach my wife where to find all her favourite channels in one place, I phoned my cable company to cut the cord. I was transferred to the Disconnections Department, who offered to discount our cable package cost to only $5.
Thanks to my Kodi coach chaimr1924, and moose. Now I can go back to grinding poker.

For those of you who don't know, the developer who created the Genesis addon is no longer supporting it. Glitches are popping up and no patches are being created. He has however created Exodus which appears to have some newer features and is a bit faster at finding streamers. Seems to be getting good reviews.
I was planning to watch Batman v Superman on IMAX with my kid, but chaimr1924 convinced me to watch it on Kodi instead. I like going out with my kid to the movies, but with > SIXTY comic book movies coming up in the next few years, I think I'll skip the theatre for the ones with bad reviews.

Any tips would be helpful.
