ivey crockfords lawsuit

so ivey came out recently and admitted that he saw a fault in the cards that allowed him to win 7.8 million pounds from crockfords. however, he claims that this is the casino's fault and not his. it is the casino's responsibility to make sure everything is proper for the game. since they didn't he says he's not at fault and that they should pay him his money.

what do you guys think?

• Hey, if you see a tell, it isn't cheating. Nor is it your responsibility to inform the casino, imo. IF a casino is dealing blackjack all night, and happens to be short an Ace or two in the shoe, are they going to be tracking down the various players who lost to reimburse them? Just like counting cards is not illegal, finding and exploiting an advantage is not either. Pay him his money . . .
• Pay da man his money
• Pay him for sure.

but I have to ask, why fess up to knowing about the fault? Never show your hand unless you are trying to reel in the fish.

I agree. Why the hell would he admit that. Crazy story, I hope they pay him his money though.
• i agree that he should be payed. so stupid that the casino is holding out. not quite sure what they expect to happen. although i also agree that if i was ivey i wouldn't admit to anything. not his problem the casino is full of idiots.
• Fuck 'em . . . they already paid him. As in the other case, if Ivey had LOST $9.6M would this even be an issue?
• it's kind of funny that borgata is also suing the company that made the cards in the same lawsuit lol.
• He must not be shooting dice at the Borgata anymore. I wonder how long till he gets sued in Vegas or elsewhere (besides Crockfords) in which he was exploiting the same flaw.

Going to be interesting to see how these all develop in the courts. What's next suing BJ players for card counting.

Personally, I think its an edge and he exploited it fair and square. It would be different if he was responsible for having the decks sent via an insider to the casino in some manner.

I mean the casino suing the manufacture as well is just LOL. Totally butthurt since they used them but they have more of a case against the manufacture vs. the player. Ever heard of due dilligence running your business.

Shows how down the casinos must be in revenue.
• Casino wins hand in unshuffled cards case :bs:

The casino should pay players their moniez, and make a claim against the card manufacturer for its screw-up.
The problem was that a Kansas City playing card manufacturer that sold decks of cards guaranteed to have been pre-shuffled did not do so in this case. The company, Gemaco, admitted in court it had erred in providing cards to the casino.
:
A preliminary court ruling two years ago went against the casino, which said it would appeal. But hours later, owner Tilman Fertitta overrode his lawyers and said the casino would pay the remainder of the disputed winnings. That deal fell apart days later when some of the gamblers refused to dismiss their claims against the Golden Nugget.
